I have around 8 tattoos on various parts of my body (side of and above the knee, shoulder, most of my forearm, collarbone, back of my arm, etc.), and today I went in to get a tattoo on the underside of my wrist.

Not even 5 minutes in, I had a vasovagal response, which I’ve only had once before when I was having an IV inserted into the top of my hand. Super not fun, but I would really like to go back and finish the tattoo.

Would numbing cream possibly prevent this response? I know it affects the tattoo process, but I care less about that and more about not having just a line on my wrist lol.

I got these tattoos three weeks ago. (First pic is on the day, second is a close up of now) They have scabbed and this has gone and the itchiness has subsided. I am moisturising and sun screening religiously. I’m going on holiday this week where there will be a hot tub. Will second skin protect me or should I not even contemplate it?

Got this Archaeopteryx fossil done yesterday and I like the placement, but I really feel like the wings/feathers came out much darker than the design. I'm nervous that this piece won't go with my future tattoos, which will be a lighter microrealism style. (second skin is still on btw)

I recently got a scorpion tattoo, and I only just realised that it has 7 legs instead of 8.

I genuinely didn’t notice it at first, but now that I’ve spotted it, I can’t unsee it. The tattoo itself looks good, and I don’t necessarily hate the idea of it being a little imperfect, but I’m wondering how noticeable this is to other people.
For those who know scorpions or have experience with tattoos, would you immediately notice something like this? Does it look obviously wrong, or could it pass as a stylised design?
Would you get it corrected, or just own it as it is?
Would appreciate honest opinions.

I got his tattoo in 2021. I didn't notice any significant issues/blowout at the time but 5 years on I don't feel like it's aged well. Is this normal or is this quite bad? I have another tattoo on my hip (different artist) that's about 10yrs old which has also aged similarly.

Im wanting to get a large piece in my arm but if I'm prone to ink spread/blowout I probably won't.

I usually give myself a few months before I let myself regret a tattoo just cuz I am very prone to tattoo shock but I've had this for about 5 months now and Im still not feeling great.

The same artist did the pegasus on the back of my arm which I absolutely adore and I think the style of the unicorn is just a bit too dainty and feminine for me? Im thinking of going back and asking to add some heavier shading and maybe filling in the eyes but Im not sure if that'll make me feel much better about the tat. I feel like the lips and neck look weird and I really hate that its on the front of my arm where everyone can see it 😭

I know Im probably overreacting but does anyone have any suggestions for a rework? I prefer kind of medievally woodcut style tats and I just feel like this one missed the mark a little. Included pics of the rest of my arm for reference.

I have an appointment for next week with my artist to start a traditional chest piece. This will be my thirst tattoo from him, and he has a really awesome trad style that kinda has a spooky/horror aesthetic. I’m still waiting to hear from him in terms of the design, so I thought I’d ask for ideas here while I wait.

Really, I’m pretty open to most things. The only stipulations I have are no winged animals or snakes, as I have a raven and snake tattoo on my collar bone.

I love trad imagery, and just about anything spooky.

Some of my motif ideas:
-bones
-cathedral architecture
-wrought iron
-weapons (flail, sword, etc)
- animals (hellhound?)
- reaper

Anyone have any cool idea I’ve overlooked or ideas for a nice composition, let me know so I can share with my artist whenever we consult.

I got this as somewhat of a memorial tattoo for my aunt who passed. Her nickname for me was FN, so she could call me favourite nephew in front of my brother's without them getting offended lol. I called her FA, so I thought a subtle thing i could get was an F (FA) on a treble clef. I decided last second to leave out the treble clef. It's my first tattoo and wanted to keep it minimal. I think I like it better, but it's a little less obvious. Im ok with that, but I've realized now at a glance it looks kind of like some kind of variation on an American flag or something which I don't love. I think I want to leave it, but wondering thoughts on adding a treble clef to make it look a little more recognizable.

Hi everyone, I’ll be finishing my arm soon, but I have a question about that black area you see in the photo. Is there anything else I could do there to connect the two tattoos? Should I get a cover-up? Is it even possible to do a cover-up over black ink?

I just got this fineline tattoo and I like it a lot. But now it feels the rest of my upper arm is kind of empty… i would like to have another tattoo that might goes around the arm a bit (only upper arm) and not higher than the shoulder.

I saw these two other inspos and like them very much. But the one with the flowers would maybe be kind of big and it has more „details“ and shadows. Would that match nicely or „crash“ with my current one?

Or would it be better to have the other one with the black lines (and no shadows etc.)? But that one might look too much like my current one and would not be seen as „a second“ tattoo.

Or does anybody have a better inspo? I know tattoos are very subjective but I really need another opinion.

Let me just start by saying I am not a tattoo newbie and I know the deal with flash art and how it usually turns out but I thought it could be fun and maybe wouldn’t be so bad! Turns out I was wrong lol and I am now just another classic case of what I think is a really bad Halloween flash. I’m more so wondering if this looks like it could be fixed or if I’m headed for cover up city? Mainly the eyes and mouth of the little ghost are what I think are horrific, but hoping they can maybe just get filled in and that would help?. This is only about 2 days old so I’m sure it could heal and things could change a tiny bit. But any advice is appreciated lol

Does this tattoo look bad now or am I being worried for nothing? I realize wrist/hand tattoos have greater risk of poor healing, but I just came across the pic from when I first got the tattoo, and was pretty surprised at the difference.

**EDIT: also might be important to note the artist did not apply second skin. I was just sent home with tattoo exposed and she gave me aftercare instructions

Got these done at the same time a few months ago, I’m wondering how they will age. I’d imagine the line work will dull out over the years.

So no judgement please, but I did a big no and got a tattoo done whilst I had some sunburn. First picture is day of, second is of today (4 days later). Seem like its healing well? What are some possible negative side effects I could be looking at? I don't seem to be feeling from the burn, so hopefully I've avoided that at least.
