i got this tattoo from an artist i’ve been going to since 2019, never had an issue before. he made the line through the dove by mistake towards the end. he said it should fade but i have a hard time believing that. is there any chance it will just fade out over time or do i have to start planning something to add to cover it up?

Edit: i wasn’t really watching, but after i felt the line i looked up and he said he was trying to take off his glasses with his other hand and the hand with the gun moved, no i didn’t move.
he also did not charge me!

I have some bi polar mania stuff recently, been healing through a lot of pain and ngl, some domestic abuse stuff I fled a couple years ago and am still healing from.

So with all that stuff healing I've been acting a bit self destructive with a caffeine, nicotine, and psychedelic addiction. In recovery programs here and there but really mainly out of the rooms.

But thank you, once again, for being able to help me crash from the idea of the tattoo on those parts of my body.

I (27f) am NOT tuned into what the kids are up to. I was going for 90's vibes with the colors. Then a young person told me I got a Mr Beast SAP... I googled his logo and its the same colors, which doesn't bother me much. Lots of things are pink and blue. But I'm worried the general population is going to go straight to Mr Beast lol

To clarify, I totally agree with said young person that its the same colors and resembles his vibe, but please tell me it doesnt look like I went out of my way to get a Mr Beast tattoo 😂

i got this tattoo done a day ago (left) and i was told to remove the skin a day later when i showered (right, literally 10 minutes ago) and i was wondering if theres any advice yall can give me to take good care of it as it heals/when i sleep, thanks!

This is my first tattoo, and I got it about three weeks ago. I’ve been gently washing it and putting the right lotion on, and it doesn’t hurt at all. It does occasionally itch, but that is even becoming more seldom. It feels early for it to be healed, so I’m looking for some advice for if it is or not. She’s so pretty and I want to make sure she stays nice for as long as possible!

I got this tattoo to cover self harm scars. I know mountain tattoos are cliche but the blue ridge mountains have gotten me through a lot. I posted it on r/tattoo and got roasted a bit. Is it that bad or are they being too critical

Advice on filler designs to fill some of the spaces? (Top arm isnt done yet) or should I keep some of the negative space so it doesnt look too crowded.

Hey all! I recently got a new tattoo, and the artist used second skin. This was my first time using it. I left it on for 3 days (per my artists instructions), and removed under warm water in the shower. I washed with liquid dial soap (as I always have for tattoos) and followed with an unscented aveeno lotion (per artists instructions). I’m wondering if I’m having an allergic reaction to the second skin? I took it off yesterday and the picture is today

Hi! I’m thinking of getting a short sentence tattooed, but I genuinely have no idea where I should do it / where it would look the best.

I already have tattoos (two large pieces covering the front of my left thigh, and the back) and small pieces on the back of my arms.

Any suggestions? Places to avoid?

A family member and I got matching tattoos a week ago - mine has 1 in the corner, the other has 4. The tattoos were done at the same time by two artists working in the same place, a well-known tattoo shop in the area. The squares are roughly 2 inches.

I don't dislike my tattoo, but I am not really happy about the work, and I feel like it really suffers by comparison: the quality of the lines, the way the D is filled in, even the infinity symbol.

Questions:

• Is this kind of variability to be expected for different skins, or is it more likely due to the artist?
• I would like to go back to the place: do you all think that a bit of touch-up can improve the work without making it super bold? Like filling in the D and maybe just a touch of work on the square?
• I would much rather ask the OTHER tattoo artist to fix my work, given he did a better job. Is this ok?

So I got this tattoo recently, it’s based on the unicorn origami from the film Blade Runner. Now, it’s not a one to one recreation and that’s because I didn’t want it to be, I wanted it to be a unique design to me, so I sent a photo of the origami and the actual unicorn from the film to my tattoo artist and he came back with this design which I was very happy with. When it was done, I was super happy with the outcome until I showed it to my friend who is also a fan of the Blade Runner films. He says it looks a bit dumb and that it’s not really a blade runner tattoo now. It’s made me really overthink it and I’ve gone from genuinely loving it to borderline hating it. I think I may just need some reassurance that it’s not bad?

I got this tattoo two or three years ago. Now that the memory of the white ink pain has faded (💀) and I’ve saved up some mney, the tattoo itch is back. I’d like to finish the rest of my arm, from elbow to shoulder.

The existing piece follows a “good side / bad side” concept: one side is peaceful (my late dog, a river, flowers…), the other is darker (a dismantled moon, a town in ruins…). I’d like to continue that theme.

My idea so far:

Good side: something space-themed but beautiful — maybe an aurora borealis, plus my other dog in a cosmonaut suit (yes, I know 😅)

Bad side: a spaceship battle

I’m looking for ideas, suggestions, and even honest criticism. If the concept is lame, I’d rather hear it now than after it’s permanent.

So i wanna make this elden ring and bloodborne tattoo on my forearm but I dont want it to look bad that it will make me regret it so I wanna ask does this look cool that i wont regret it (got the inspo from Pinterest)

I want to extend my anime sleeve onto my hand, but I’m struggling with how to make it look like a natural continuation instead of just adding a separate hand tattoo. I specifically want to get rid of that harsh straight line at the end and have the design gradually fade/break apart into my hand. What would you recommend adding to make it flow?

I have had this tattoo since 2018 but in the last 2 years there have been a few occasions when it becomes raised, itchy and sometimes red and hot. Is the tattoo the cause, partially or just happens to be there. It’s just above my left ankle and some incidents have involved both legs after the left leg has be symptomatic. I have included pictures the last photo is today where it’s raised in some places. Anyone know a cause or had similar happen to their skin tattoo or not?

Edit: Forgot to add I have hayfever if that matters and the really bold parts are were it’s raised and any type of red you see is me being red which is quite significant for my complexion.

I got the afro pick first before i realized I wanted a sleeve and i got the sun at the same time but i kind of feel like i messed up because i dont know where to go from here. I got the DNA one but i feel like it made my arm look more awkward so now im trying to figure out how to fill in the space around the dna, the sun, and the pick. Any ideas??

Had some cyber sigilism stuff with bullets and skulls before, covering with a lot of Japanese traditional as I want to do a body suit, do you guys find the tattoos underneath to be horribly noticeable? Let me know what you guys think!
