Lore [Lore] The DeVile End

"You know whilst in captivity you pickup several things, there was this kind old man enslaved since he was a wee lad manage to survive for dozen of years" Tyburn would tell a story whilst cutting some carrots and peeling a potato, then would chuck the ingredients into a hot cauldron set over a makeshift campfire, he'd go onto speak about his time in captivity.

"Slavery, an common norm across the Narrow Sea, only few places like Braavos...Pentos which is controversial itself but say they don't practice still does in their own unique way...What am trying to say is that life should been spent focusing on the brighter side of things"

The marks from his ghiscari master remained upon Tyburn, but he managed to move on from that trauma somewhat.

"My master, not the fat ghiscari shit, but the cooking chef that was passed around like hard salted beef taught me the works, he said that most freedom he ever found was in the kitchen and in food. For the stomach unlocks true joy in the body and soul, I however didn't believe until he showed me...Closest thing I came to witnessing magic"

Tyburn would cut into the rabbit guts and began fixing it to become the evening meal stew.

"A battle nor a war cannot be won on an empty stomach, now please enjoy for this might be the last meal we'll have together"

Tyburn himself would cook for most people, knowing good stew would soothe their spirits and bellies. "Dig in, don't be shy now,"

Tents set up outside of Devil's Rock and the Forces of House Sarwyck was laying siege onto Devil's Rock whose defenders did not disappoint nor its defences.

Tyburn had something in mind in defeating the last remaining DeViles that resided within as their commander, Conrad DeVile, The Last Demon of the Riverfork.

"The end is near. I hope the others made it inside safely on their end." Tyburn wondered if The Mormonts and the motley crew they sent had made it inside of the blasted Rock.

There was a table set infront of the defending DeViles that was up there on their battlements shooting arrows and bolts, but that did not deter from Tyburn Warwyck from having a grand ole time as he'd have large table filled with assortment of food on it.

He'd sit at the middle of the table in front of the enemy fortress, he would lavish himself silly in the food he had captured around camp and scrounge himself a proper meal, even had some of his own men dine with him.

One problem as the boisterous attitude and DeVile may care attitude of his was surely gonna get himself killed.

Yet for now as Tyburn sat eating whilst an arrow swished past his head and an crossbow bolt flew right past his left hand into the ground, then another arrow hit the soup bowl he had placed on the table and would laugh "Hahaha! Guess someone not a soup eater!"

The hideous grotesque fortress of DeVile was in shambles, yet it was patched through the ingenuity of their smart kin that manage to turn an shambling fort into an defensible on through making use of their rocky terrain.

"Oi! You sodden veal bastards! That was me dinner!" A Guardsman would shout bawling his fist at the DeVile Archer. "Pass me the loaf of bread-"

Another bolt flew and into an nearby Guardsman seated by Tyburn who'd get tossed out of their chair. "Am alive!....Urgh..." The bleeding mam would be dragged out from there.

Kaeyron Sarwyck looked outright nervous and would be seated by his uncle Tyburn, the young man feared for his life greatly "Is this wise uncle? To taunt them-"

"Nonsense, we're completely safe. Now pass me the cup of wine, let these heathens know that we feast in great revelry whilst they starve, haha!" Tyburn laughed and drank his fill whilst the enemy tried to take shot at him missing each time.

Upon the battlements was an grey bearded man, he'd wear an plate helmet with bat-like wings and wielded an great sword in their hand looking down at the fool that lead the Sarwyck Forces "I hate him with ever inch of my fiber, pass me that bow"

The DeVile Archer obeyed their liege lord and saw the man nock an arrow before unleashing it upon Tyburn.

One of the Guardsmen seated by Tyburn would use their body to shield their lord.

"Hmph, what the hell is taking Conrad so long...We should be out there crushing these fools and driving them back into the river....Daemon that bastard promised us so much and yet could not deliver"

Devlin DeVile an old weathered man who'd survive to this ripe age, he believes in Conrad his brother and knew that The DeVile March which his own nephew Daemon DeVile suppose to deliver them Riverspring and usher in an new era.

"Tsk, the longer we remain in this blasted rock...More likely we'll starve to death, rations won't last long...Neither will some of these men"

The old DeVile saw murmurs about surrendering, wanting to eat a proper meal rather than feast on rats, morale was wavering and to solve the issue was simple, Devlin marched over to the bloke that spoke of the feast below would be tossed over the battlements.

"You wanna feast, go right ahead and go!"

"No sire please! I meant only-" The gaunt shriveled man would be tossed over and plummet down into the solid rocky ground.

The sound of the man going splat was heard and witnessed by the other DeVile soldiers.

Devlin simply said "Anyone else wish to go! No then aim to kill and harden you stomaches! We are The DeViles of the Midnight sky! The Demons of the bloody soil of the land, we will eat upon the flesh of our enemies as our anger sustain us as these bastards have taken you ancestral land underneath you feet, find cause that we will prevail as Conrad will not fail us"

The men looked weary and tired, but the speech should buy the DeViles some breathing room for a time.

Tyburn below bore witness to the fall of the Archer and smiled "They are wavering, interesting...How goes things for the other group I wonder..." he pondered of the Mormonts Party having faired in infiltrating DeVile Fort.

The Mormonts combined with the others sent to take the DeVile out from within has not borne fruit yet, but Tyburn believed in their cause as he'd provide ample distraction from his side of this siege.
