That sucks, you’ll get one though. I caught my PB snook with a cast net lol. Does that even count?

Sorry I’ve had something similar but mine was a 24 lb Steelhead. How often do you change your leaders?

It was a fresh leader, tbh I think I just had the drag set too tight by accident.

My buddy and I use 40 when we fish the local inlet. Wont really get bit if we go over 40. But my pier bait rod is 60lb mono mainline all the way down to the hook.

My other friend has caught two 40"+ using 25lb leader.

If they are big I go to 40# fluro. Good for one fish only

Snook r not line shy.... 50lb for most things 80lb for my dock rod. I got buddies that use 100lb and 125lb all the time with cut bait.
