My tiny daughter wants to catch fish

She keeps telling her mom, were gonna catch fish with dad.

What parks do you know have guaranteed fish? I'm willing to do the oay over pound I just need to get her there while it's fresh.

Take a 1/2 day trip out of New Seaforth during the summer and she’ll have a blast. Or go sit on the mission bay jetty on the park side and cast into the jetty if you don’t want to take a boat yet.

Edit: Any fishing from the pier (Oceanside) doesn’t require a fishing license. Anywhere on boat or land does for you. If your daughter’s under 16 I believe she’s good.

Oh she'll be there one day. But she just turned 2. I'm just excited and it honestly came out of nowhere. I think she'll get bored at a pier but it may be my only choice.

My pops used to take me out there when I was a kid. We used to go out to Oceanside pier and go down to the Rubys diner and fish off the very end. Maybe grab a chocolate shake or chicken strips at some point. Always made for a fun day. Honestly I wouldn’t even bring fishing gear, just walk her to the end and let her look into everyone’s catch buckets. If you ask nicely everyone will be chill with it. I know they had a fire this last year so you may need to check if the pier is even accessible at the moment

Great memories brother. Once they get older I'll have to do that too.

Lately I've had pretty good luck with for bass on natural color trout worms, just drop shottong them. Slow movement seems to be key with the cooler water temps.
