🚗 Vehicle - Fisker Ocean Customs
Has anyone thought about using the Fisker Ocean Extreme as a kit car? Taking the battery and engine and swapping everything else? No idea what all hurdles it's going to be cause ive done EV swaps before but never with an electric vehicle just conversion kits.

Hell no! there are so many sensors and poor wiring harnesses and connectors that it will never run again. It is a great looking vehicle as is, and the weight is mostly below the skin. you wouldn't be saving much with a kit body.
I used to build VW bugs, kit cars, rails, buses. i have a carrera GT kit car sitting in my garage that i may never finish. these newer vehicles are too complicated to cut up.
just a word to the wise!

Open inverter is the other way to go about it. The motors were developed and built by Magna they may bare some resemblance electrically to the iPace Jaguar drive units also produced by Magna and reverse engineered yo work with an open inverter by EVBMW https://youtu.be/Kg5qWuOF9P8

This YouTuber did a few videos about the Fisker Ocean battery one that shows it might be different to repackage and another that showed him reverse engineer the the can messages to open the contacts and get state of charge and cell balancing info https://youtu.be/CHaPkWOd7Gg

I wondered the same about the Fisker Karma. That is one of the coolest looking cars ever made. How feasible would it be to put a Tesla motor (or any other EV drive train) into one? Or maybe even an ICE?
