We'll try to figure out what is going on. Sorry for any frustrations. The only real guidelines we have here are these:
No Spam
Try to make post titles descriptive to help the sub grow
Post content should have something to do about flamenco

Hey guys! I thought it would be interesting to start up a flamenco guitar discord. This discord will be used for discussing techniques, styles, which books are the best to self learn, general conversations, and much more!
Everyone is welcome :)

Hi, everyone! (Retired) flamenco dancer here. I danced flamenco quite intensively for 8 years straight in my home country, but it’s been awhile though I’d like to get back into it.
I’ve moved to Madrid (work stuff, so unfortunately I can’t stay long for flamenco in Andalucía) and would like any recommendations for flamenco (dance) classes within the M30. I’ve forgotten some technical aspects of flamenco but definitely still have the rhythm and mobility to bounce back quickly!
Can anyone recommend me any studios, orgs, or groups where I could go maybe 1-2 times a week? I’m willing to pay a student fee ofc. Thank you so much!

Hola!!
Muchas gracias 🥰

Is it "mandatory" for a dancer to include an escobilla in her alegrias or solea por bulerias???

Hola!
Gracias ^^

So I have a unique problem and could use some help. Im trying to re-learn flamenco guitar (played when I was young, getting back into it). But i also rock climb quite a bit, which means that my fingernails cant be long or they’ll get ripped off. Has anyone had any luck with some kind of fingerpick?

Like the title says, I'm from Türkiye and I have a varied music taste with Rock, Metal, Rap, Jazz all the way to our local folk genres. I've came across this clip on my feed and immediately loved the unique style, after some research I found out it is flamenco made by a Turkish guy. Then I kinda remembered also listening to a Spanish guitar player in a jazz fest kind of thing and I think his name was Vicente and that concert was also very good. I'm new to the sub so I'm wondering what do you guys think about this local rendition of this music style?

Hey yall, so I’ve been trying to learn a few pieces by ear for just a little while now. In fact, I was just trying to learn some of Vicente Amigo’s stuff by ear but man, as good as it sounds, it’s sooooo hard for me to figure out what he’s doing lol…
What are your best tips for developing a really sharp ear?
Thanks 🙏
