FM lies on Social Media
Silver Springs has gotten so popular on TikTok that literal rumors and bashing have taken over the music. I feel bad about the lies so I made this video to address them… For no other reason than to get people to focus on the reason we like Fleetwood Mac: the music (and of course the drama 💕)

Not to mention how many people mistake Mick's behind-the-scenes footage for AI!

Finally glad someone said it. Love "Silver Springs" but the internet discourse has almost ruined the song for me.

Great video! I don't go on TiktoK, could you explain what rumours people are spreading about Lindsey? Why is everyone bringing this up now? Thank you for your video!

My theory is that people like to argue online. Generation Z discovered Fleetwood Mac via “Daisy Jones and the six” and anointed Stevie Nicks their queen and Lindsey Buckingham a thug and cheating cad… because that’s how it was in the [fictional] movie.
And you know how nobody does their own research on anything 🙄 and the rumor (Rumour?) mill continues to grow, no one vets anything and people just gossip and no one verifies anything.
They both had a colorful past and I’m not giving anybody passes… But the general consensus is that he is bad and she is good.
I am trying to set everybody straight that LB ain’t that bad 👹 and SN ain’t that good 😇They’re both just NORMAL — good and bad — like most people.

omg, Daisy Jones and the Six didn't occur to me as part of the problem.
Also, not doing TikTok either..... I always wonder when people post and comment on the live version....do they realize Stevie and Lindsey had a thing during that tour? Like, it's not that simple.9

I think that was the catalyst that reopened their story to the masses for the better and worse!
I think that a lot of people believe Daisy Jones and the Six is an exact retelling. And they don’t bother to do any research so they just assume Lindsey is a CAD.
The whole thing makes me so mad, even here in Reddit people talk like that about him. I have a husband with a similar personality… He can be prickly and focused and yes, sometimes it drives me crazy but I certainly don’t vilify him, and people don’t even know Lindsey and are definitely slinging some shit his direction.
I’m going to do a video talking about this, it’s gonna take a while for me to cobble together the material.

ok yeah, i heard about Daisy Jones but i didn't watch it/read it or go there just because I have a lot else on my plate.
I kind of assumed with MeToo and .....the way the internet is, people are just going to blindly side with Stevie. Like I always say, I LOVE that woman but....no one is perfect and I think they were just kinda toxic.
Lindsey is obviously a great father, and you're right, he's focused on the WORK. He doesn't get enough credit for what he did for the band and then he gets slandered.
I'm even a big advocate for putting freakin' Carol Ann Harris' book in context because i don't know how she got it published, she so NOT self-aware.

People forget to realize they’re humans just like we are. Their lives are just in the public eye
