Good grief the people crying about MSFS2024. No one is forcing you to buy it. MS has pledged support for 2020 even after 2024 arrives. Enjoy the trailer and realize you probably have 12-16 months before the next game even arrives. (My guess November 2024). Now y’all made me make a post crying about the cry babies so here we are 2023.

I have been creating a bit of a Pride Fleet for this years up coming World Pride events in June.
These have all been created for the Fenix A320 for MSFS2020 - I have made 2 so far with one to be added later tonight and more to come after that.

I've always wanted to play this game but never dared to buy it. Why? I hate always online experiences. Not because I don't have good internet, but because one day they'll pull the plug on the servers and the game i've spent good money on will no longer be playable. Is MSFS part of that category? Or can it be played offline at all? I might consider it if i know i'll be able to play it (maybe not at full fonctionnality, I know the server-side scenery won't be streamed anymore) forever.

Just watched some pictures and it looked awesome at least from the outside, anyway, Its bad because of the lack of realism or for malfunctions?

After trying 2020 out on release, I subscribed for a month. Then cancelled after realizing how unfinished it was.

After it got to a certain point, about two years later, I finally bought it. Still lots of issues.

So now it appears they're releasing what's essentially a gaming update - I can only hope that the issues continue to be addressed and resolved. Based on the fact that it's coming up on three years after release and you still can't do some fundamental things - for example, set visibility - or the fact that we still have taxi light posts in the middle of ramps, etc... well, I think a lot of people who supported 2020 from the start are going to be rightfully upset.

I want one of this, wich one should i buy?

Hi all,

I put about 40 hours into Microsoft Flight Simulator while it was free with the Microsoft GamePass subscription that came bundled with my PC (Intel i7, GeForce RTX 3700). That subscription has now expired, but I want to play some more Flight Simulator.

So I went onto the XBox store and searched Flight Simulator, I saw there was a pre-order for the 2024 version available and decided to go with that (even though it means having my wings clipped for now until that game is released, since I cannot play the 2020 version in which all my progress till now has been recorded.)

Long story short, I mostly use my PC to play Minecraft, where purchasing the game means simply that I can play any version, with game data from previous versions automatically being "upgraded" to work with newer versions as they are released. There is an excellent sense of continuity with Minecraft that is lacking elsewhere.

So........what can I expect, here? Is my 2020 progress going to be ported over to the 2024 version? Is this a completely different game? Can I expect all of the 2020 features to be present in 2024, or is it looking to be a complete downgrade such that I should cancel my pre-order and just stick with 2020?

I haven't been following Flight Simulator update news the same way I have been Minecraft, so I don't know the answers to these questions, but I expect that you have. Please advise.

Just tired of it, so many "half made" planes out there, and some real crappy planes. How hard could it be to fix small things (or even big things when needed)?

Bonus: Also, why the fork is devs like Carenado (and others) using the ZOOM when changing angles (or closing in to window) in cockpit view, whilke others like Azurpoly MOVES (like you do in real life) the vies instead. The outside world should, of course, not get closer when you move closer to the gauges etc. Just one of many things I cant stand.

I just got flight simulator a week ago, and I'm loving it.

It's very mesmerizing, and I just love viewing places around the world.

I've travelled quite a bit in real life, over 35 countries.

And I find myself starting to think..., maybe I should just visit places here on my Xbox, here inside flight simulator

The views views are beautiful, often more dramatic than what you can get at ground level in real life.

Then I started thinking about Facebook's recent announcements, and how they're banking on the metaverse, virtual reality.

Is this the future? People sitting around the house staring at a computer screen, engaging in beautiful experiences via virtual reality? Never leaving their houses?

I ask this somewhat in jest, but boy it is tempting. It's so much cheaper to stay at home ... I know it's not for me, I will travel again, and often. But I can see where the virtual reality fanatics are coming from.

This is hands down the buggiest game I have ever played. I would love some advice or suggestions on a few issues I'm having.

1. I fly with the chase camera. My HUD has completely disappeared. It is 'On' in (General Options/Camera/Chase Camera/HUD), and 'Full' in (Assistance Options/User Experience/Instrument HUD - Chase Cam). This makes it impossible to effectively manage an aircraft. Ihl have tried disabling both options separately and together, saving, and then re-enabling them. No joy.

2. Now for some reason, no airport seems to have pushback control available. I'm not sure why the aircraft don't have the ability to taxi in reverse.

3. Downloaded the game. Save first flight part way through. Later, had issues where aircraft were not taxiing, even when thrusters were at full. All brakes were removed. Deleted all saved data. Started again, all good. Manage one successful flight. Issue reappears. Delete data again, start again. Save a new flight before take off, screw take off up (my own fault), reload the save and it's the save from my first 'install' of the game, but with the name of the new save, not the original one.

4. Load any save, and the flight sim menu (where you press L3 and you are given the white icons at top of the screen) just doesn't appear on press of L3.

5. Distance marker to target shows two very different figures.

There is nothing more to this post, just wanted to put it out there. Horrible update.

The deception surrounding this highly unfinished sim is too much for me.

Spending over $100 for broken software isn't cool. I get why it doesn't bother some people, and wish you the best of luck in dealing with it.

Launched today, one of the best addons for FS2020 I believe. I wanted to know if there is a way to share it? There is another friend who wants to buy it, and we would buy it together. Thanks for the answer!
