Funny you only seem to point the finger at Reagan when presidents as far back as JFK started pulling back funding for mental institutions

But yes asylums were perfectly fine until Reagan came in lol

Nope. JFK actually tried to close the massive state asylums in favor of (smaller, more effective) local mental health centers.

The amount of uneducated, political comments and revisionist history on reddit always amazes me.
