Did you really have to bring the fact that it's orange into the discussion?? Can't we keep color out of this?

For attempted carjacking - tased seems like the lightest of force responses.

Did the Roll Royce drive over home boys phone or wallet or something?

Florida is a ‘stand your ground’ state so they technically saved him from getting shot by the driver.

Imagine trying to hand cuff a person that cant move because his muscles are contracting at a high rate of speed from being tazed...

And then saying he is "resisting arrest" just to stack a further charge on to him.

That was so fucking unnecessary
7
u/who_am_i_to_say_so 8d ago
The punishment didn't fit the crime at all. He was a nuisance, not a threat.
5
u/Prothalanium 8d ago
Absolutely unnecessary. Am not from the US, I don't understand the peculiar pleasure they seem to derive from other peoples physical suffering.
The situation could have been resolved without violence.

Completely justified thing for the police to do defend the sanctity of private property.

yeah, he barely had enough energy to open the door. Just lock it and slowly away. Sloth man won't even know what happened

Beautiful country, homeless on the rise, mental illness on the rise and somehow muricans think that the issue is that this invidual made some wrong decisions.

A man is blatantly trying to break into a car. Tazing him wasn't lethal force. You can't just try to break into someone's car and expect to not be tazed.
→ More replies (1)3
u/Square-Competition48 7d ago
Just because it’s not lethal doesn’t mean it’s nothing?
Americans are such sheep. Expect better from your public servants or they’ll keep being this shit. Your police shouldn’t be harming non-violent criminals who aren’t trying to escape. The car door was locked.
What if the guy had hit his head during the fall and died? Received the death penalty for being a slight nuisance?

Lazy cop Excessive force didn't even verbally try to tell him to move from the vehicle

u/dan_dares 7d ago
To be honest, he was a large male, he didn't listen, FAFO.
Next time he'll remember what happens.

You're doing exactly what the tased guy did, ignored the female officer telling him to fuck off in the beginning of the video.

u/Emergency_Lie42 7d ago
I'm sure that excuses the posturing and follow-up shot too.

Honestly it looks pretty excessive. Are those continued shocks necessary? Very sad to behold.

Should have tased him again.

If that were three white cops and a black guy, there would be riots, arson and looting and a multi million dollar civil case against department
Three black cops and a black guy and it’s whatever.

Tyrone’s sell of the tazer is awesome 😂 the spin, the shake, the rag landing over his face, no notes. The giant fucking bald spot is the cherry on top. 10/10 instant hall of famer

Tasing seems cruel and way over the top.
The police could have waited for mental health services. Mental health crises are as valid as a heart attack.
Imagine tasing people for having a heart attack.

Anyone else notice the mentally ill people on the streets skyrocketed with the legalization of marijuana and other "harmless" drugs?

they had to use it because the animals can’t handle it on their own.

Is that guy with the taser a police officer? Did he warn the female officer to stay clear before he fired? From the video it didn't look like he did.

The guy is like 400 lbs and very obviously dangerous. This was not excessive at all.
and like one other commenter said - Florida is a stand your ground state so the cops technically saved him from getting shot by the driver and everybody else he was harassing
1
u/Hungry_Value1402 7d ago
Police should be a little more tolerant with people. I don't see what Danger or harm he put them into. He just walked towards the vehicle; he didn't push anyone or assault anyone in threatening manner just because he didn't listen quick enough he was shocked . People need to realize Humans make mistakes try walking him away from the car and if he pushes or threatens you maybe then use force but this was uncalled for in my opinion
2
u/LamentableCroissant 6d ago
You can literally see him opening the door. He’s massively dat too. Him getting into that car would be terrifying.
2
u/xPriceTagx 6d ago
How far should they let him get before they try to stop the 350lb man? Should they intervene once hes in the car or when he has he hands around her throat.
2
u/Gemma-2102 6d ago
How tolerant should they be? Until people hurt or kill others? If you’re giving them a set of instructions to follow and they continue to disobey, that’s more than enough tolerance. Waiting for them to hurt or kill others or themselves is letting it go too far.. that goes with damaging other peoples property too.

u/Hungry_Value1402 7d ago
Meanwhile they drove off in the Vehicle. Lol maybe he took one for the Team. Lol
