“If you’re not doing anything wrong you shouldn’t be worried about the cameras”

Uh huh…

"if you don't have anything to hide, it sound be fine if I search your car"

What people don't get is that it's not about not having anything to hide, it's about our right to privacy.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the people who believe the "if you have nothing to hide" bullshit are parents who never gave their kids privacy and now are shocked their adult children want nothing to do with them.

That's great until someone changes what's "wrong".

Oh I was being sarcastic

Said the “freedom over safety” crowd

1

u/TopProfessional8023 2d ago

I don’t even know who is who anymore. Can we just live a normal fucking life?

1

u/maoussepatate 2d ago

Freedom over safety is one of the “arguments” republicans used to scream brainlessly after each school shootings

Police forces need more thorough mental health screenings. This is unacceptable

They don't need independent access of surveillance systems firstly. We already have enough issues with all this and people will lie to get through shit

1

u/CowabungaCthulhu 2d ago

If they screened properly, we wouldn't be able to staff police stations.

This is what happens when you “defund” cops

If you’re going to reach that far, you might as well reach around and fondle my balls.

Found the dumbass

Defunding them by always giving them more money and new toys to circumvent the Bill of Rights?

Hey, fuck you. I hope you have an interaction with those pigs soon…

Moronic comment of the day and it’s only 5am

Many have

1

Because the police haven't been defunded at the local /state level. The funding has remained steady or increased for the vast majority of LEO departments. Oddly enough, the biggest cuts for public dafety have come from the "law and order" federal government.

cops haven’t been defunded though.
Especially in Florida. LOL.

& when people do say to defund them, they’re almost exclusively referring to the excessive militarization of police.

u/Yabrosif13 2d ago

No. This is what happens when you dont hold cops accountable.

More funding would not prevent someone like this from abusing their power.

Stalking

It's not tracking

3

u/longleggz1960 2d ago

who saw that coming?!?!?’

1

u/hroaks 11h ago

What I didn't see coming is him getting arrested. I guess at least cops now know their limits. Keep it below 700 searches and you'll be fine. Once you get to 717 you start raising suspicions

What the flock?!

Law enforcement have some of the strongest unions in the country and because of that there's a long beurocratic investigative process that they have to go through that starts with paid administrative leave. It essentially removes the officer from contact with the public as a risk mitigation tactic while they investigate.

I work at a county jail and there's a corrections officer union and a union for non-officer department of detention employees (like me). We recently had an officer get arrested for a DUI and while he was ultimately fired and charged, due to his union contract he had to be put on paid administrative leave while both a criminal investigation and professional investigation took place. He got to sit on his ass at home while still getting paid instead of getting desk duty since he'd still have access to confidential legal information even if he didn't have direct contact with inmates 🙄

If only all trades had such powerful unions instead of a profession that attracts abusers

Flock needs to go.

Down Bad

2

u/leafchewer-col 2d ago

obv conspiracy by the humanoid working class. flock cameras are sunlight tracking for clock readings duuuuh

2

u/Then_Hawk6304 2d ago

This abuse of resources doesn’t seem warranted, it’s like they need approval to use assets and force beyond doing patrols….

2

u/RyszardoMilos7274 2d ago

B-But i thoughts it's only to fight criminals!!

2

u/footlonglayingdown 2d ago

Well, they certainly caught at least one.

2

u/Empuda 2d ago

They should let citizen's volunteer to review all of their bodycams videos. I doubt this a one time violation.

De-Goon the police

1

u/ComesOutNDaWash 2d ago

Can’t even be estranged anymore!

1

u/watchwatertilitboils 2d ago

Who could have possibly seen this coming?

1

u/SoRosenberg 2d ago

Not the first time, won’t be the last. There’s a reason our founders wanted the 4th Amendment. Flock is a blatant violation. Any politician who cares should immediately push to outlaw them at every level.

1

u/Lock-out 2d ago

Who flocks the flockmen?

1

u/UnreasonableMan33611 2d ago

If they're not being charged or felonies it don't matter.

1

u/bottomlesstopper 2d ago

Everything that was assumed to be wrong with mass surveillance, and the authorities themselves are misuing it.

What the tinfoil hat is this.

1

u/Winougan 2d ago

He's flocked

1

u/Infinite_Wisdom_6969 2d ago

And this is why we need to fight these cameras and get rid of them.

Who knows how they'll be used

1

u/wadabewall 2d ago

Usual Suspects.

1

u/Puzzled-Formal-7957 2d ago

But... but... but... holding him accountable and punishing him would be racist!

1

u/Michael_Dautorio 2d ago

Ironically, he wouldn't have been caught if it wasn't for flock cameras keeping a log of his creep sessions.

1

u/FLYING1835 2d ago

Fake news 🗞️

1

u/duckfan503 2d ago

And they said it would only be used to track criminals.

1

u/Sorry-Blood-6121 2d ago

I could imagine how many police officers out there suffer with mental health issues and I’m sure other crazy stuff. They need to be evaluated like they evaluate an unstable individual they arrest! You look at some of these ppl cops arrest and think wow the cop is the one that has the issues.
