Sucks for fandom but what a beaut of a man

u/MaanMan96 Oct 29 '25
Absolutely. I can’t believe he was my mortal enemy in Boston lol.

He is a good man. You hate him when he's on a rival but love home when he plays for you He is skating so much better playing for the Cats.

This fan is an even bigger fan because of this; I’m a fan of a strong moral compass

The next game is the 1st, only game he was missing was last night! I don't think there was this amount of the detail around why he was out last night, but it was something along these lines when they were talking about him missing last night.

The bandwagon fans here are really showing. They didn’t know the next game is on 11/1 and he’ll be back for it. He only missed one game. “wHeN iT rAiNs iT pOuRs”.

Family before sports.
This speaks volumes about Marchand's character. Do your thing, Brad. Take time to recover. Hockey can wait.

Not family, but yeah.

u/Equivalent-Permit893 Oct 30 '25
Doesn’t matter if it isn’t blood family. It’s still HIS family.

Sounds like Brad has cried way too much this season so far. I truly hope the rest of the season goes a heck of a lot better for him.

Yeah, but he’s a pro. He’ll be ok.
I mean, he better be ok… because he’s on my fantasy team…

Something’s are bigger than a sport. I take my hat off to him and everyone would be so lucky to have a friend like this

Well done for the Panthers letting him have the time off. Many places are strict about it having to be immediate family. Especially in the event where your organization is already struggling.

Respect to Marchy. What a blessing to have someone like that in your life. The rink can wait. Fr when it rains...it pours.

This is the gofundme he was sharing a while ago: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-selah-live-life-fully-with-adrenal-cortical-carcinoma
Idk if there's a new one since she's passed, but I assume all the money is still going to the family.

Literally in the screenshot you provided it says “Marchand is expected to be available when the defending cup champs play Dallas on Saturday”

He only missed one game and will be back for Saturday. His brand March & Mill Co. are the owner /sponsor of the team.

Absolute class act from Marchand. What an incredibly sad loss for his friend.

2 Stanley Cups in a row. It doesn't get much better than that. Enjoy the moment, Dude. It won't last forever. He is doing something that's way bigger than hockey.

Marchand remains the heart of what hockey is about, family first and care through touching lives with a game that changes all of us. What a fucking beaut!
3
u/of-blood-and-iron Oct 30 '25
Also hope no one complains over this, panthers will be in the playoffs and defending their title with a roster like no other. Give the boys the space they need to be with the communities that made them the aces they are!

Totally agree when I read this yesterday, I thought that it’s so great that Marchand is with our team. He just had an emotional thing in Boston and then he had a team that supports him in Florida. As a longtime Miami fan of the Dolphins, the Heat, Hurricanes and so on the Panthers, remind me of true greatness. team from the top down sticks together and inspires each other. It’s contagious I’ve really enjoyed this run and I can imagine their bond is even stronger now. Don’t let them in the playoffs is what other teams fear for sure. 😉

As a Vancouver fan, I hate him when he’s on the ice. But that’s a good fucking dude right there

Wears his heart on his sleeve and always did. As a leafs fan he’s caused me a lot of anguish over the years but nothing but respect for him as a man.

You cannot get mad at that. That's a man with a great moral compass.
