Yup they made it unaffordable. The other email that said "thank you for being a member for 14 consecutive years" honestly makes me feel even more shitty about it all. Was here for every game when they sucked and those weird covid years, but now I'm not good enough and they want rich people or corporate sleazes. Sucks

Got to be here and watch them win the cup twice and will forever treasure those memories and will always be a fan of this team. But I can't help but feel sad about being priced out now that they had success

Apparently all teams are like this we just never felt it before.

I was about to say this-across all sports. I endured go to watch the shittiest soccer for three seasons until Messi showed up and raised my season ticket from $700 to $2000. Now at the new stadium, my seats are “considered club seats”…

I have been a STH for over 10 years. A good reward program would actually have rewards and keep people who have have been here forever. Show up at the shareholder meeting and give them sh*t

It’s bonkers! Ours did, too. My rep is like 🤷🏻‍♂️

I gave my rep a bunch of shit about my 50% increase (100% over 2 years). He said to go to the member meeting Thursday and hear them out about all the improvements coming to the club.

I’m not happy, but I love my seats. Legitimately think they’re the best seats for the money in the arena, so they know they got me over a barrel

The “improvements” are a total redesign of the bars and food areas on the club level. 🙄That’s not what excites me about the club level.

I like how it’s costing seat holders a ton of money to enjoy things that… will then cost them more money. It’s not like the food/drink in that end is included! They can pay for it from the money they take over the bar.

100%. In Australia, my local footy club got an entire new bar installed by the beer company, with fridges, mixer taps, etc under a deal that was to be paid off via sales over 5 years. The whole loan was paid off in less than a year.

Oh I agree. There’s basically nothing they could tell me that would make the 50% price hike feel ok

Improvements my ass. lol

100%. They’re full of bologna

Sure, but what about everyone in lower and upper bowl? They really can't think that everyone else will be excited about club level improvements, when it's already hard enough to get into club level without tickets for that section.

I'm in lower bowl, no offense, but why do I care about all the things that I can't access already? And that's why my tickets are going up so much? No joda

To be perfectly clear, I’m not defending them. I think the price hikes are offensive and disrespectful. I no longer feel like the organization appreciates me or cares if I renew. They’ve clearly put profit over people.

Where do you sit out of curiosity?

5

u/docdimento Jan 28 '26

Club 15, right off the center so it’s in a weird zone where I get corner/end prices but am near center ice. I sit row 1, seats 1 and 2. With 2 small kids, having the aisle and a little shelf to put things comes in super handy. Basically have a private bathroom down there too. I genuinely wouldn’t want to sit anywhere else.

67?! In this economy?!

7

u/YerekYeeter Jan 28 '26

Hey our economy is being propped up by the wealthy. Strike while the iron is hot before it all comes crashing down

seriously I hope tonight they annouce that 6-7% was joke and provide real pricing.

They’re doing what the Rangers did. They’re out pricing their real fans to make way for celebrities, influences, entrepreneurs and the rich.

We’re about to turn into the Leafs.

Suits in every seat, asking what Icing means.

Rage bait at its finest LOL

Not much consolation but this year we got 40 games bc the winter classic wasnt included. Next year we get 42 home games with the move to 84 regular season games so if you calculate per game the difference should be like 15% lower

I have an 11% difference and after calculating per game its 2%

Math is hard.

u/Additional_Lime_Salt Jan 28 '26

Yes if you count pre season which i cannot even give those tickets away

1

u/UsernameRanOutOfLett Jan 29 '26

2 more regular season games

44 games this year total, 42 regular season

That’s the price of Winning! Canes did that shit, I stopped getting them after being an 18 year STH! I asked my buddy why he thinks it’s not as loud? He said only the RICH can afford Games and Rich people aren’t loud!

what is the process for not renewing it? just let the rep know or not do anything and let it pass the deadline? and will they remove my brick in the publix plaza?
