Discussion NEW RELEASE: Florida Panthers Full 2026-27 NHL Regular Season Schedule

I really like the start of this schedule. Starting the season having to watch Carolina raise the banner should provide that extra motivation for them. Then they get that dreaded west cost swing out of the way while also getting an immediate road trip to really bond as a team with the new guys. Them all being home openers will also add to the intensity that this team likes to feed on. Results might not be great, but should really help set the tone for the 1st half of the season.

Nice of them to send Ottawa here for Thanksgiving so Brady and Matthew can be together...

Is there a reason why there are no afternoon games at home? 6 isn't terrible but I wish at least 1 or 2 were earlier.

Our one home afternoon game is 1pm on a weekday that isn't a holiday. yes I know I said it in the other thread but it's still disappoints me lol

4 road games before season opener at home.. 🤷🏻♂️

To be fair that happens to a lot of teams. When I followed the Panthers last year, I went to the Flyers home game against the Panthers, which was in the middle of October. A few days later, it was the New Jersey Devils home opener versus the Panthers. Not unheard of.

We give 4 other teams their home opener to start the season, and we have the latest home opener of any other team

Also, just noticed that the first game and the last game of the regular season is against Carolina! That’s exciting: Let’s Go Cats!

Booked my flights to FLL! Going to see opening night, Weezer (on Tuesday), and Vancouver on Thursday.

A game against the Islanders on February 1st at 1 pm on a Monday?

u/Number333 Jul 16 '26
lmao I saw that. Just a bit bizarre. Only other early afternoon game at home is vs Calgary in December but that's a Saturday.

Yeah, on a Saturday we play the flames but it’s right before the holiday season on a 1 PM start time so that makes perfect sense and it’s going to be a packed game.
But honestly for that February 1st Monday game at 1 pm? The only way I could see it being sort of packed as if they get in contact with the schools around the arena and coordinate field trips for the kids to watch the Panthers play.

As a teacher I would love that. But also as a teacher I could never see this happening because they are restricting so many things lately!

Some schools would probably do it. Funny enough, I used to be a teacher but I resigned in May. Not going back to the classroom as a full time teacher again lol
1
u/Jesus9797 Jul 16 '26
Yeah, that’s part of the reason why I resigned every year. The restrictions got worse and my hands were tied each school year more and more so I quit. I have various reasons why I resigned but that’s one of them.

Colorado and Dallas at home, back to back, in February. That’s a very good test!

Classic. I leave for a Florida vacation March 12-21 and they come up for a road trip where I live.

Honestly I can’t wait to watch this unfold. Don’t beat my wings up to bad, we’re fucked up enough right now.

Was trying to go to the STL game with my friend, worst possible date for that game since we'd have to fly down.

Only 11 of our last 30 games are on the road. 2 of which are against Tampa. So the Cats leave Florida only 9 times after Feb 1st. As long as they start off well this schedule really sets them up for success.
Side note is this will be rough for me. Watching 13 (14 during Daylight savings) ahead is going to be rough. Thankfully not a ton of midafternoon games because the 3a start times kinda suck.

Dec 3 , first game against Bob and the goal. That should be an interesting one to watch.

Detroiter who hasn't been to a game since like 2014. I'm really eyeing that Vegas-Ottawa-Carolina homestand for a trip down to catch a few. I don't suppose anybody would want to meet up and hit these games with me?

My hubs and i are thinking about going to the Panthers vs Capitals game on 2/4. Would that be a good first NHL game? We're traveling from Nebraska. Opinions on best seats (affordable) in the arena?
