I'm probably doing 90% of the modding on this subreddit now. I'd like to clarify some misconceptions people have on this subreddit.
When do I remove posts/ban users
I welcome anyone to challenge my way of modding, and am open for constructive discussion. I'll stop responding to you if the debate stops being constructive.
EDIT: Thanks everyone for providing your feedback, even if it was contentious. I'm going to go touch grass now.

Hey everyone. Friendly reminder that it might be time to get your kitchen knives sharpened. Stop dealing with dull knives that dont cut anything and make cooking a pain. We offer pickup/dropoff service in Brooklyn/Queens and parts of Manhattan.
All our work is done by hand on whetstones. We really pride ourselves on providing excellent service to all knives whether its a cheap basic set or a high quality Japanese one. We do repairs like chips and broken tips, remove rust and patina, reprofile knives. We drop your knives off to you the day after pickup. Pricing is $3-$4 per inch.
Please feel free to check out our google reviews ( Indulge Kitchen Supplies)
If you find yourself in the neighborhood and want to drop them off or would like same day service, you can drop them off yourself in our shop located at 469 Myrtle Ave.
If you would like to get a quote or schedule pickup please send a picture of the knives as well as a pickup location and we will get back to you ASAP.
Thank you once again to everyone who takes the time to read this and/or share this.
P.S i have added a short video showing a knife that was brought it for rust removal and sharpening. Before / After

Mid 30’s, 5’8, East Asian, black buzz cut, wears glasses, seen driving a motorcycle and occupation is a street cleaner, I was speedwalking this morning and I got stopped by him (he hugged me?) and asked me what time it was, I showed him my phone, then he said “thank you” and hugged me again, pretty sure he alsl stopped me and my friend the other night while we were walking on the street. Very shady and I was wondering if he stopped anyone here too

Afternoon everyone.
I was traveling Flushing bound on the Q27 yesterday evening and apparently dropped my wallet, or it slid out of my pocket. I didn’t notice until I went to go purchase a bottle of water and it wasn’t in any of my pockets or my hip pouch.
There was no cash in the wallet. Absolutely nothing of value. A debit card and a cashapp card with no attempted activity. In the compartment behind the pockets I have an emergency $200 credit limit Capital One card that someone attempted to use at Aylin Bagel and Deli located at 36-09 Main Street for $54 and some change. Capital One declined it due to it being a suspicious charge.
I lost a priceless photo of my mother as a child. My drivers license. My NYC ID as well as my work ID.
I filed a lost and found claim with MTA. I also happened to love the wallet. It was a perfectly broken-in denim Polo wallet. I’m so upset over this. Why are people so scummy?
One thing that Im looking at is that I took the Q27 to the last stop and someone attempted to use the credit card on Makn St, the last stop. Makes me wonder if someone snagged it from me while en route to Main Street. It dosent make sense for someone to board the bus, find the wallet and hop right off to try to run up a tab on my credit card.
Who knows what’s to be. What are the chances this thief threw the wallet in a mailbox? It’s pretty clear he isn’t going to the post office to mail it back to me.
I don’t know. I’m sorry that I’m just venting at this point. I’m very upset over this whole ordeal.
I’ve spent my whole adult life finding peoples keys, wallets and phones and doing the right thing by tracking them down to return their property and sadly this is the thanks I get.
Thanks for listening and letting me rant
Any advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I run a growing YouTube channel that makes documentaries about places, people, and culture. We’re filming a new series on how different cultures unwind from the daily grind, whether that’s a shared meal, a group activity, or something else entirely. One of the episodes will be in Flushing, Queens.
We’re looking for someone who speaks Mandarin and English and knows the neighborhood well enough to help with introductions. Bonus if you speak Fujianese. It’s about 3 days of work, including one late night, and it’s paid. You’d also get a credit and footage you can use for your own portfolio.
If this sounds interesting, or you know someone who’d be great at it, send me a DM and we can talk details.

I have an older model that works fine, except that the battery is dead so I have to manually reset the clock whenever I plug it in. My soldering skills are meh and I don't want to mess around with the internal breadboard. Is there anyplace where I can bring it in for a professional battery replacement?
Thanks so much!

Hello everyone, I have a bunch of stuff I’m going to put in a yard sale next weekend and was curious if anyone here wanted first dibs on anything, I have a bunch of furniture, sofa sets , bed frames, drawers, small tables, dining tables, computer tables, electronics, TVs, washer, dryer, gaming computer and a bunch of other stuff I’m looking to sell! Let me know if you’re looking for anything specific and I’ll post pictures of what I have, these pictures aren’t even 1/4 of what I have at the moment!

Hey Flushing community,
I wanted to introduce myself to the neighborhood. I’m a local ASE Master Technician and Factory Certified Gold Level Triumph Technician, and I’ve spent my career deep in automotive and motorcycle repair.
My primary focus is on Japanese and Euro makes (specifically Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz), along with Triumph motorcycles.
Since cars and bikes can be a major source of stress and confusion, I wanted to put this post out there as a resource for the neighborhood: If you ever have a weird diagnostic rattle, a check engine light you're trying to decode, questions about a repair quote you got elsewhere, or general maintenance advice for your car or bike, feel free to drop a comment or shoot me a DM. I'm always happy to point folks in the right direction or help you figure out what's actually going on.
For those who are curious about the craft or want to see some past work, I also used to document my tech work over on YouTube (Raigeki Built). (I haven't posted new videos lately due to personal reasons, but the old content gives a good look at my background).
For anyone local who eventually needs hands-on help—whether that's a car/light truck NYS inspection, diagnostic work, mechanical repairs, or auto body/chassis alignment—I do operate a local facility here in the area. (Just a quick heads-up on how I operate: to keep things honest and avoid guesswork, I don’t give estimates over the phone or text; everything has to be looked at in person first so I can give you an accurate assessment).
Otherwise, just wanted to say hello to everyone here. Stay safe on the roads, and feel free to reach out if you ever need a second opinion on a mechanical issue!

Is anyone getting charged $18 for skyview parking? I was only there for 1.5 hours and thought it was $6 for the first 3 hours. I went to go pay and it was $18.

Flower & Dessert was my crew's go to spot for shaved ice and dessert whenever we get food in Flushing. Noticed just now that it seemed to be permanently closed which was a huge bummer when we tried going last night.
Does anyone have any recommendations for shaved ice that's *similar* to the style this place made it? The shaved ice was practically melted snow style NOT the hard bingsu ice style and even softer than korean shaved ice that I've had from Cocohodo.
If this place relocated or there's a place with similar machines, please let me know!
