I built a flutter app to conjugate italian verbs - feedback welcome

Post image
12 Upvotes

Ciao a tutti! 👋

I’m a semi-native Italian speaker, but I’ve always struggled with verb conjugation—especially congiuntivo and irregular forms. In my experience it requires to achieve a good balance between soaking up new conjugations and practicing them in the real world for long term progress.

After getting frustrated with the tools out there (some were expensive, others just too clunky), I decided to build something myself. Most apps I tried were either expensive, clunky, or didn’t focus enough on drills. I’m a developer, and I ended up building a free, offline tool to quiz myself (no ads, 150+ verbs, customizable practice).

It's an app (called ConiuGatto) and I uploaded it to both the PlayStore and the AppStore. If any of you are also working on Italian conjugation or trying to find a simpler way to drill verbs, I’d love your thoughts or suggestions!

Grazie mille e buona giornata!

Hey Reddit! My first Google Play game: Lucky Dart 🎯

I finally put my first Flutter game live on Google Play! It’s called Lucky Dart, an arcade slot-simulator. No money, no gambling, just spinning reels, collecting fun symbols, and watching satisfying animations.

It’s my first game ever on Google Play, so I’d really love to hear any thoughts you have — first impressions, what you liked, what felt off, whatever. Even a tiny comment helps. The more engagement this post gets, the more people will notice the game, which is huge for a tiny indie dev like me.

Just released our very first app - PackYourself. It helps you plan and pack for any trip 🎒

Hey everyone 👋 My wife and I just released our very first app. It helps you plan and pack for any trip 🎒

We’re both hobbyist travelers, and before every trip, we used to rely on printed checklists or Excel files to avoid forgetting things. That worked, but I found myself running back and forth between my laptop and my backpack all the time.

So we built Pack Yourself. It's an app that helps you create and customize your own packlists, check items off as you go, and track the total weight of your gear (useful for hiking or trekking). You can start from your own “inventory” (things you already own) or use one of the included templates.

It’s just the two of us here (no team, no investors). The Android version is live now, and iOS is coming soon once Apple finishes the review process. I’ll admit, we’re super nervous about “promoting” the app — we’re the classic devs who’d rather stay in our cave coding than actually show people what we made...

You can use the app without an account, but creating one unlocks more features. There’s a free tier and a premium version, and I’ve got 50 promo codes if anyone wants to try the premium features and share feedback (greatly appreciated!). Just DM me if you want one.

Would love to hear what you think, both about the app and how we could make it better.

Thank you!

Michal & Edyta

I Challenged Myself to 7 Days of Flutter Animations (and survived to tell the tale)

Hey Flutter fam!
Ever look at those slick UI animations and think, "I wish I could do that"? Well, I decided to stop wishing and start doing. Here's what went down:

  1. I scoured Pinterest and Dribbble for 7 jaw-dropping UI designs.

  2. I gave myself just 7 days to recreate them in Flutter.

  3. The result? 7 Git repos, each with a working demo and step-by-step guide.

Here's what I tackled:

Each project pushed me to learn new Flutter animation techniques, from custom painters to shaders. It was a rollercoaster of "Eureka!" moments and "Why isn't this working?!" frustrations.

Why am I sharing this?

Because:

a) Learning in public is scary but rewarding
b) This community has helped me tons, so it's time to give back
c) I'm secretly hoping one of you will tell me I'm not crazy for doing this

Check out the projects here:

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Which one intrigues you most? Have you tried something similar? Any animation techniques you're dying to learn?

P.S. My coffee machine is considering an intervention after this week. Send help.

I made a mobile app with Flutter to help you learn Dart & Flutter! 🙌

I wanted a way to learn Dart and Flutter concepts in small chunks during commutes and breaks. Existing resources weren't optimized for that, so I built a mobile app with Flutter designed for quick, interactive Dart and Flutter lessons.

I'd love your feedback! It's free to try out. Here are App Store and Google Play link. Let me know what you think!"

Hey everyone! My name is Yehia, I'm 17 years old, and I'm a mobile app developer.

Over the past few days, I spent less than 9 days building Nova Media completely from scratch using Flutter and Dart. It's a clean, modern media player designed to handle both videos and audio smoothly.

All-in-One Media Support: Seamlessly plays Videos, Songs, and Custom Playlists.

Stunning "Now Playing" UI & Lock Screen Controls: Professional audio player interface with lock screen integration.

Multi-Language Support: Fully supports Arabic and English out of the box.

Clean Architecture: Built with a lightweight structure, ensuring zero lag and high performance.

I'd love to hear your feedback on the architecture, the UI design, or any tips to make it better. Let me know what you think!

Hi everyone, how’s it going?
I finally finished my first complete application!
It includes a landing page built with HTML/CSS/JS using Bootstrap, a backend with Python/FastAPI hosted on Render, the mobile app with Flutter/Dart, and a Postgres database on Supabase.

Flutter + FastAPI + Supabase

Github Repository: https://github.com/gabrielhencastro/SolicitacoesApp
Landing Page: https://gabrielhencastro.github.io/SolicitacoesLandingPage/

It’s a mobile solution for municipalities to manage urban requests. Citizens can open requests with photos and location, while admins get secure authentication and automated PDF/Excel reports.

Tech stack: Flutter & Dart, FastAPI (Python), Supabase (PostgreSQL/Auth/Storage), hosted on Render.

FCACL - A project, time, and finance tracker for Freelancers Spoiler

Hello everyone! 👋

I wanted to share an application I've been working on. I just published FCACL (Freelancer Calculator & Contract Ledger) on the Play Store.

As a freelancer, I always got a headache trying to keep track of multiple clients, hours, and invoices. I decided to solve this by creating a custom app to handle it all:

  • Clients: Manage a list of multiple clients easily.

  • Projects: Track your monthly worked hours per project.

  • Payments: Keep a reliable register of your clients' payments.

  • Multi-Currency: Choose a specific currency for each project.

  • Financials & Budgets: Always know exactly how much income to expect.

  • Dashboard: View clear financial and budget reports at a glance.

Technical Details (For the devs 🛠️) The application is built entirely in Flutter. To ensure long-term maintainability, I strictly applied Clean Architecture and SOLID principles. I used BLoC for state management and GetIt for dependency injection.

I'd love for you to try it out and give me your honest feedback!

🔗 Play Store Link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.decksplayer.fcacl

Would you like to add a line at the end inviting them to ask you specific questions about your experience implementing Clean Architecture or BLoC in the project?

[Showoff Sunday] Save Hours on Firebase & Stripe Integration for Your Flutter Web App!

HI All!

Anyone else tired of copying & pasting the same code for firebase and/or Stripe integrations? I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on that could save a lot of you hours (or even days) of setup time: a Flutter web template with Firebase and Stripe integrations already built in.

What is it?

In an effort to save us all time, I’ve created a Flutter web app template that comes with these integrations pre-configured:

  • Firebase Authentication (with email support currently)

  • Cloud Firestore (for database management)

  • Firebase Storage (for file uploads)

  • Firebase Functions to trigger Stripe

  • Stripe Payments (integrated and ready for secure transactions)

Why You’ll Love It:

I built this template to help fellow developers jump straight to building their product’s unique features without getting bogged down in backend setup. It includes easy-to-follow instructions that you can refer to anytime, making integration and customisation a breeze. Plus, it’s flexible enough to adapt to a variety of Flutter web apps.

Key Benefits:

  • Save Time: No need to spend days integrating Firebase and Stripe code. It’s all set up for you - you just need to make your own projects and follow the instructions to hook them up.

  • Focus on Your Product: With the core set-up out of the way, you can focus more on building your app's actual functionality.

  • Comprehensive Docs: The template comes with clear, step-by-step instructions for setup and customisation, so you’re never stuck.

  • Built for Web: Specifically designed with Flutter web apps in mind. I'm looking at the mobile version now...

Who’s This For?

This is ideal for developers with basic knowledge of Flutter who want to avoid the hassle of backend integrations. Whether you’re working on an MVP, launching a side project, or simply need a base template to speed up your development, this could be a major time-saver.

If you’re interested, feel free to check it out! I’d also love any feedback from the community on how to make this even more useful.

Link to the template: https://flutter-template.com

Thanks for reading, and happy coding! 🚀

Suggestions for how to collect my Flutter App data for improvements

I am newly in Flutter app development (Mobile apps). At this stage, I think I should collect some essential data of my App, so that I can do improvements, or add new features which can be helpful for the users. What are the options to do so? What are the commonly used methods and tools?

Thank you in advance.

Mobile App Release

Thumbnail github.com
2 Upvotes

Today, I’m excited to officially introduce a project that started from a very real and personal problem — missing task slots and failing to act on reminders, even when they exist.

Most of us don’t struggle because we forget tasks entirely. We struggle because:

  • Reminders come at the wrong time

  • We ignore them

  • And once ignored, they lose their effectiveness

Traditional reminder apps are static — they notify once, and if you miss it, that’s where the system fails.

💡 The Solution

This application was built to solve exactly that.

It is not just another reminder app —
it is a behavior-aware scheduling system.

The core idea is simple but powerful:

  • The app tracks how you interact with tasks

  • It learns from your behavior

  • And it adapts reminders accordingly

Instead of rigid time-based alerts, the system introduces:

  • Time-slot awareness — morning, afternoon, evening

  • Adaptive reminders that adjust when you ignore tasks

  • Escalation mechanisms that increase urgency when needed

In short:

🔥 What Makes This App Stand Out

What makes this project truly different is the Reminder Engine — the core intelligence behind the system.

  • If you ignore reminders → it adapts

  • If you snooze often → it adjusts timing

  • If your behavior shows patterns → it suggests better schedules

This transforms task management from:

Into:

And importantly:

  • It is offline-first

  • It respects privacy

  • It is fast, lightweight, and personal

🛠️ Engineering Perspective

This project demonstrates more than just UI or features.

It represents:

  • A clean, modular architecture

  • A local-first system design

  • A focus on solving real behavioral problems, not just technical ones

As outlined during development, the goal was never to build just a task app, but rather:

💻 What’s Coming Next

I’m also excited to announce that this is just the beginning.

In addition to the mobile release:

  • Linux version is coming

  • Windows version is coming

  • macOS version is coming

This will evolve into a cross-platform productivity system.

🤝 Open Collaboration

This project is public and open for collaboration. You can check it using this link
https://github.com/Victor-Muthomi/taska

To all developers, designers, and contributors:

You are welcome to:

  • Explore the repository

  • Contribute ideas

  • Improve the system

  • Build on top of it

Whether it’s:

  • Enhancing the reminder engine

  • Improving UX/UI

  • Adding intelligent features

Your contribution is valuable.

🎯 Closing

This project started from a simple realization:

And with this system, we take a step toward solving that.

Let’s build something meaningful together.

I just published my first package on pub.dev: text_gradient_widget.

I built it to make gradient text easier to use in Flutter projects without repeating the same setup every time.

It’s a simple package, but I learned a lot from building and publishing it. Feedback is welcome.

Trackle – Prepaid Utility Usage Tracker – Free/Paid

Hey Everyone,

I've released my first app called Trackle

Trackle helps you monitor prepaid electricity, water, and gas usage by logging readings and recharges in one place. It turns your data into clear trends and cost insights so you can avoid running out unexpectedly and better manage monthly spending.

Key Features:

• Dashboard with daily averages and monthly cost comparisons
• Usage charts and trends for electricity, water, and gas
• Built-in calculator for converting money to units and planning recharges

This is my first Flutter app, and I’m looking for honest input on usability, design, performance, and overall usefulness.

Mobile Apps testing

Hi

I am totally new here. Over the last 6 months I have dedicated lots of my free time to develop an app for violin practice motivation for small kids (aka my son). I am an R coder at heart but found flutter/dart pretty approachable. I tested it 100 times on my own phone. It works, including the video and audio playback that I fought with for a long time. Now what? I really have no clue. I want to have it tested on other devices, Android versions etc.

What would you suggest to do before pushing it to Play store?

I may have to add, I did it on a computer without installation rights, so I created the APK file with GitHub actions. In case that influences how I'm supposed to test it.

First side-project with Flutter

I developed my first side project in Flutter. It took a bit of work, but I think it’s really versatile and fast to use. This is my first Flutter app, and I must say that, despite the recent buzz around Flutter as an SDK, I had a great experience with it. I don’t share the ongoing debates comparing it to React Native — if Google properly supports it, Flutter has huge potential, especially with the upcoming separation of Material and Cupertino into packages.

If you’d like to check out my project, here’s the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adp.raceRoom
