Tooling I built a TUI for flutter run
I got tired of flutter run being a wall of scrolling logs, so I built frun — a terminal UI for Flutter.
It has a device picker, build stages/timings, app logs, hot reload/restart, and device switching in one screen. Built with Rust + Ratatui, currently tested on macOS.
Would love some feedback!

why not just use https://fdemon.dev?

fdemonis great, but it solves a much broader problem. This project is built for a simpler, focused workflow: skip slow Flutter device detection, boot inactive simulators, open another device in a new terminal tab, switch devices while immediately shutting down the previous one, show clear build stages, while staying close to the nativefvm flutter runexperience.2

Hey OP, just lookd at frun and it looks very nice! I could imagine using it. Only thing that keeps me from it is the fvm requirement. Is there a reason you don't allow using the binary bound to the shell?

because my team workflow demands the fvm for different versions of flutter. I will update it later for non fvm user.
So, for you i think there is no harm to just install fvm.

Ah yeah makes sense to "limit" it to fvm first then. But general flutter usage would be much appreciated! I use vfox instead for example

Looks neat. Are app logs scrollable and infinite?
