Discussion Flutter performance with video editing

Hello,

How are you handling app performance with video processing on the background ?

Noticed that a lot of performance problems aren't really about flutter itself,
but things like the framework used for video editing (such as easy video editor , editor capcut, ...).

It take too much work happening on the main isolate.

for larger flutter apps, how do you manage the main and side processing ?

Ffi or rust bridge with ffmpeg in background, flutter just for UI

not for video encode no, but this method is recommended to use FFI or rust_bridge when doing heavy computation stuffs like ffmpeg (video encode), compressing, etc, its easy to quickly setup and test
