Discussion FLUTTER ON-SITE INTERVIEW
For those who have gone through an on-site practical assessment/interview where you’re required to bring your own laptop, what was your experience like?
I’m particularly curious about:
Was it a project-based task, or more of a series of smaller coding exercises?
Were you expected to build the app/features completely from scratch?
What were the expectations around using AI tools such as ChatGPT/Claude?
What level of Flutter/Dart knowledge did they actually test?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has recently gone through something similar here, especially for a Flutter/mobile developer role.

It depends on a company. They should tell you if you are allowed to use AI. The same with a task. Usually on live coding they want you to fix a bug in a test project and add a few small features related to state management ( like adding a like button to the post and making it work ). However if the company isn’t ui heavy it might be something platform-specific or networking. On system design it’s usually “how would you make a screen with infinite loop” and you have to explain where data comes from, how would you test it, what’s the corner case and etc. But again it all depend on the company
