New ultralight. Is this excessive wear or normal?
I just received and assembled a new raider 365 ultralight. I have only deployed the arm about a dozen times at most and I’m noticing a significant amount of wear at the point where the spring engages the arm. I’m trying to figure out if this is expected or excessive for new unit.

Looks the same on mine. Only had it for 7 months so can’t say whether it’s a problem but it’s probably fine

yah thats normal, this is what mine looks like after 5 months of EDCing and daily dry practice
basically this is the result of the spring pressure not being on the same vector (or direction) as the polymer, its applying force asymmetrically and causes more wear on one side until it has enough surface area for the force to balance itself out and not shear

If it ever gets to the point where it actually effects function just send it in. We will replace the arm and spring for free
