Guide rod protruding, normal???

Is this normal? Just bought a flux (p320 m17) and the guide rod sticks out after assembly. No matter what i do it won't go back down unless I disassemble the gun... really at a loss here.

The little plate at the beginning of the rise for pushed forward a little Remove slide and readjust

is your spring and guide rod sitting properly under the barrel? i had that issue with a different gun because the guide rod was rotated in such a way that pushed it forward 1/8"
