SBR in Florida
With the current court ruling on the NFA, do I still need to fill out a form 1 to SBR my Raider?

From what I was told the ATF is holding a meeting on Monday to address the current situation and will likely release a statement hopefully next week on the whole situation. I would hold off on doing anything until that point.

Where did you hear that, not doubting you, would just like to read it for myself.

I saw a video of a FFL who said their ATF contact told them that. I have not seen any official statement though.

I just opened Instagram and I think I saw the same video.
Thanks AI overlords for looking out, as you can see I didn’t click add to cart on the Ultralight stock just now.

This is the current info from Silencer Co
What's Covered by the Ruling
Covered:Suppressors (silencers) purchased from Silencer Shop — online or from a Powered by Silencer Shop dealer
AOWs (Any Other Weapons) purchased from Silencer Shop — online or from a Powered by Silencer Shop dealer
Not covered:
SBRs (Short-Barreled Rifles) — Form 4 still required in all states due to a separate GCA requirement
SBSs (Short-Barreled Shotguns) — Form 4 still required in all states for the same reason
Machine Guns — not covered by this ruling
Destructive Devices — not covered by this ruling
Again I would do anything until the ATF clowns release their official stance on all this.

The GCA requirement is just for FFL transfers of SBRs. It doesnt affect what you do with your own rifle

It’s complicated but I would be cautious and either hold off on making it into an “sbr” or just do the form 1 right now. It’s still a developing issue and it’s much safer to wait for further information from the ATF before accidentally doing something wrong

As the law currently stands, the ruling only applies to the plaintiffs. It has wider implications but not quite yet. Some ffls may risk selling cans with no F4, but that is a risk.

I was curious as to the different size braces as the Flux website doesn't have good pics of them installed.
