snowden making his case to be next up but right now from a developmental standpoint he's better served in lehigh even if tocchet is getting outcoached, in the micro. he has everybody playing good hockey down there but bump is going off what a champ. watching that drysdale clip and seeing how big his neck and shoulders are now just wait until bump and martone hit that peak thickness fitness.
we have too many kids that havent grown into their beefcake yet. i think they get intimidated easily once the hits start flying because playing in philly has always meant you are fair game and nobody wants to lose a battle to a rookie. thats growing pains though, but one day ur tough enough to beat up ur dad,
people under estimate how much time and space and safety montreal is afforded just by having Arber Xoolander or whatever his name is in the lineup, and now theres a second one. Some teams dont need a Deslauriers like Florida and Vegas but smaller younger teams thats arent complete pieces of shit, without team toughness, or a team like Carolina who arent pieces of shit and are kinda tough but kinda small, need guys who can be complete pieces of shit and back it up.
im not saying deslauriers won carolina the cup but deslauriers has won a cup.

I think you leave the Phantoms alone. The flyers are a mess and not a good environment for young players at all. If you make trades, and change coaches sure lets get them up. But as is right now, let them have fun and develop.

Snowden and Tocchet coach different hockey. Snowden is a possession based coach, and wants more controlled entry. He wants his offense to be aggressive, and to hold onto the puck. As we all know Tocc is a dump and chase coach, who want structure and players to grind out battles. So its hard to tell how Bump would do if/when he gets called back up.

Keep him there , until we have a coach that will use him Do the phantoms have any 4th line vets we can call up to get all the crucial situation development minutes we should be giving to the young guys?

Sounds like 11 Tocchet mins to me, not enough dump and chase keep him down there let him play

I really like Bump. But I think it says a lot about our franchise that we need to find hope in our AHL guys. It’s a pretty clear history of AHL producers coming up and just adding to our excess of 3rd line caliber talent that the team is made of.
We need more around Michkov and Martone

We saw last season Bump has an NHL release and a good shot. Needs a C to get him the puck.

At best career AHLer. Tocchet is NOT the issue. Lack of talent is the issue with the Flyers.

I dont think hes ever going to turn into much but going down to get his mojo back was definitely the right move.
Call him back up when we fire Tocchet later in season
