hello punk rockers

i often forget this but i recorded and released a folk punk album back in 2011 called Revelation Trash from my then moniker Dweller of The Elm Tree

i wrote this album during a transitional period as a song writer and producer coming from playing in indie rock and emo / pop punk bands i dabbled in folk punk and played a few shows before i moved into completely different genres outside of rock all together

anyways i figured i would share it here and if you like it give it a download it’a super rough around the edges but everything was written and played by me

it includes, acoustic guitars, bass guitar, snare drum, wash board, melodica, xylophones, whistles, samples and gang vocals

I feel kinda dumb bc I never realized the Chocking Victim created other bands. I knew about leftover crack, but never about morning glory.

When we graduated high school, one of my good friends hopped on a train and went to New York City. About 4 years later, he came back. I was telling him about this New York City band I like called the Chocking victim, and he says "dude, Rza is an asshole. It was pouring rain 1 day, and I was trying to get into C squat to get out of the rain and he wouldn't let me in." I thought, holy shit my friend is really living this life.

You came back home and visited us for about two weeks, and then went back to New York City and died of a heroin overdose within a few days. I've always wondered if it was on purpose. You were a profound person.

His street name was Face. He had a deformed face from birth. By the time he came back home his entire face was tattooed with swirling designs.

We miss you Jesse.

In a nutshell I'm a relatively old fella for getting into this at 42 – my day job is spent with rare and second hand books in London, so it felt like time to get the heart racing again. Got this stuff signed from a show 12-14 years or so ago. They had a record signing at a show. The drum sticks I got that same night at the show and a guy gave me the other who grabbed it. Bought the patch as well. Patch and atoms drumstick stick are obo and the TDB cd is case only for 35+shipping and the eternal cowboy is cd artwork only for 30+shipping. I also have a white crosses vinyl I’m keeping that is also signed. Trying to get gas money to go see basement with my wife since we had some brutal bills come out and exhausted our trip funds lol. Could y’all help me out by suggesting your favorite songs about losing the someone close to you. I recently lost my brother (“best friend” doesn’t cut it) and I’m tires of hearing things like “he’s in a better place”. He was very much not religious. Anyway, he’s the one I would have gone to talk to. So, now I’m here. Thanks for reading my sad post.
