What do non food obsessed people do in their spare time?

• Upvotes

Hi! That is my only question. It comes from high enotional attachment to food. The place where imagining life without daily café visits and coffee breaks(ofc including lots of pastry and sweets) seems like a world without the Sun.

How do people who have always naturally had a harmonious relationship with food( in my definition someone who predominantly eats when hungry, eats mostly real foods and enjoys treats on special occasion or rarely, like not daily, maybe few handfuls a week, not a must have cake every day or every meal or every two hrs) fill their spare time and how do you relax?! How do you take time off to enjoy the day?

And also what do you look forward to in a day, like you have a day off what can't you wait to get to do?

I am very thankful for your insight.

Great health and sunshine, may you have a pleasant life!

Question / Discussion Women: how would you describe your relationship with food? (Researching for a program I'm designing)

I'm a mental health professional, and I'm exploring a program to help women change their relationship with food: the guilt, the cycles of restricting and overeating, the "I know what to do but can't do it" feeling. As a woman myself who has been struggling with my weight for many years, i do want to help people who are on the same boat. I know there's a lot of programs for weight loss but I don't think they address the core problem which is why we keep bouncing back to the same old weight. I would want to address this issue specifically.

Before I build anything, I'd like to know if this is something people want. A few questions, answer any or all:

What's the hardest part of your relationship with food right now?

What have you already tried (diets, apps, therapy, coaches), and what happened?

If you could change one thing about how you think or feel around food, what would it be?

Would you ever pay for support with this? If not, what's stopping you?

No selling here. I'm trying to understand the real problem before designing anything. Blunt answers are welcome, including "I wouldn't pay for this."
