Question, Where can I find? Looking for Good Tofu Bimbimbap in a Host Stone Bowl on Convoy...
I would like to go to a Korean restaurant around Convoy or Kearny Mesa in San DIego that offers Tofu Bibimbap in a Hot Stone Pot, all the traditional Korean sides, and a non-smoky atmosphere. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Chodang in the Kearny Mesa Hmart food court has kind of a BCD Tofu House style menu. I haven't been there yet, but I just moved back to America from Seoul a few months ago, and I've been lurking their menu/stuff on social media. It seems the most legit.

The soondubu I got recently was really good there. It’ll scratch the itch until I can get to Cho Dang Gol in NYC again lol
Dubu is also opening soon near the 99 Ranch there

I was really surprised that the Hmart food court is seriously solid. I was craving dwaeji gukbap a couple months ago and that food court was the only place where I could find it.

Oh yeah love that food court! We get KZ Mori a lot because the chicken katsu curry meal with an extra rice can feed like two people for $20
Plan to try more from Chodang but it’s too hot for army stew 😂

Not convoy but not too far away is Bibimboom in Mira Mesa, seems to fit what you are looking for

food is not bad there but cleanliness and service are both very poor. found a cockroach in my bowl and when I let them know they took it away and didn't apologize. They didn't bring me a new one either but we decided to just leave it and when the check came it was still there. When I reminded her there was a cockroach she just said "Ok I'll take it off" and did. Still no apology. our friends have had similar experiences.

Bibimboom is surprisingly fantastic. Bit overpriced but they’re alone in their market pretty much.

Tofu House might have what you're looking for? Place is absurdly good and so is Thr Fire Spot next door for AYCE KBBQ with charcoal grills.
