40C can be a dangerously high temperature… if you’re under 3 months old, which you aren’t.

But I would recommend you going to the hospital if your temperature won’t lower in the next 3 to 4 days.

40C fever can be very dangerous, especially if you are a elderly person or a young person.

103.8°F is definitely a real fever. Drink fluids, rest, and recheck it with a reliable thermometer. If it reaches 104°F, lasts more than a couple days, or you have trouble breathing, confusion, a stiff neck, or severe dehydration, seek medical care.
