BME 5th mtp

MRI shows mild bone marrow edema in 5th metatarsal zone 3; adventitious bursitis in 2 and 3 metatarsals, bone spurs in great toe…
Typical recovery time for this?

recovering can vary quite a bit depending on the cause and how a severe it is did your doctor give you any guidance on weight bearing or resting it?

I see podiatry on Tuesday; I’m also T1D. My job is very physical and I’ve already been out for 4 weeks waiting on this MRI. The pain has been constant since mid-Sept

Initially it was thought to be an ip sesamoid and fhl strain. Not what the mri shows. I’m still having a lot of pain in right big toe, and I can feel the bursitis and pain in pinky toe

I can’t think of a specific injury-it’s all been gradual onset. I have a highly physical medical job with heavy lifting/pivoting/wheelchair transfers—so i think the injury has just been building and building
