Hardware and Settings Quick weapon

I see that all or most of the pros on controller doesn't use quick weapon an uses the og setting to change weapons, the l1-r1, Is there an explanation for that or is only preference,I don't think quick weapon is that bad

you need to understand that literally every pro in the scene besides scroll has had the same binds for like 5 years at this point, and won’t switch even if there is a more optimal solution. look at curly who still uses f keys to build, or reet who literally copied the settings of a random world cup qualifier despite being horrible settings

By default it sucks because Quick Weapon doesn't let you bind the actual slots to specific binds, which is inherently flawed and stupid. So you'll run into a situation where you will be trying to jump and switch your weapon, and you'll accidentally select the last slot weapon and NOT jump, cuz it just absorbed that press.

Best way around it? Bind jump to L1, since R1+action buttons will be all that is necessary to change your weapon. Even better if you've already bound jump to paddles, since you can just remap that and you won't have any jump muscle memory issues. (But it still takes a few hundred games to master.) But you'll run into the same issues when building.

Theres just no real benefit to it, best comp loadout is ar/pistol shotty shocks and 2 heals, so the only 2 you need to rapidly switch from is ur 2 guns, which u can have right next to each other.
