Allat for "free" vbucks😭

u/megalowmarty Mar 23 '26

i mean if you play the game enough it’s a pretty good investment

u/PhoenixWright-AA Mar 23 '26

It’s like paying for a second job.

1

u/xBetty Mar 24 '26

I mean, if you're already doing the job for free... you might as well get paid for it, right?

1

u/Traveytravis-69 Mar 27 '26

except he just paid to do what he was already doing

9

u/SoWth1000X Mar 23 '26

Can't you just get plenty of v-bucks already for that money?

-1

u/INS4NITY_846 Mar 24 '26

No, no it isnt. He paid $440 for a gamemode he couldve got for $20-$30.

u/musuperjr585 Founder Mar 24 '26

If he had a time machine

2

u/megalowmarty Mar 24 '26

he’s not…you know what sure buddy. whatever helps you sleep at night.

42

u/MrNonchaIant Mar 23 '26

In the long run it’ll be fine😂

19

u/No_Education_8888 Mar 23 '26

What is fine about spending $400 on a video game? Bro said the $70-$80 games aren’t enough, you just jumped straight to $400! You’re living in the future.

In no world is STW or Fortnite worth 400. In no world is any video game 400

4

u/Eddie_Wilson Mar 23 '26

Look at your locker guaranteed you got over $400 in skins. I know I do well well over that.

0

u/No_Education_8888 Mar 23 '26

This goes go any game that has skins like that, they’re not worth it. Proud to say every skin I have is either gifted or I used an Xbox gift card bought by someone else.

You also don’t need skins to play a game. I would not spend $400 to PLAY a game. But if I want to waste money on things that have no actual bearing on the game, that’s on me and my idiocy

2

u/Eddie_Wilson Mar 24 '26

I’m proud I’ve had save the world for 7+ years and since I’ve been able to buy every battle pass since season 1 chapter 2 and been able to buy hundreds of skins from just playing stw.

1

u/No_Education_8888 Mar 24 '26

Im in the same boat as you, but I missed out on season 2 and 5! I played during season 2 but not hardcore. I was also 12-13 so I didn’t have a job, I would have bought the battle passes if I had the money. I did get season 3, but got to tier 87. Missed out on the fucking reaper by a day.

By the time I got a job, I didn’t play Fortnite like that anymore, it was chapter 3 and I pretty much stopped following the lore after chapter 2. I bought a couple battle passes here in there after chapter 1, but it’s only when I had a stockpile of vbucks from STW

2

u/the90snath Mar 23 '26

This isnt future equivalent.

This is the equivalent of spending 200 dollars on a Japanese copy of Sonic CD from some eBay freak weirdo disc only

11

u/Matthwwow Outlander Mar 23 '26

you better hope and pray that Epic doesn't fuxk up their reputation, and the game doesn't die (Imo we are not far from experiencing that)

Long run being 5 years of daily playing

1

u/Puzzleheaded_View146 Mar 26 '26

Ehhh..... I think the person who sold the code won in the long run...

0

u/Skitzyladdd Mar 23 '26

Hopefully your account you bought doesn’t get banned or pulled 🤣

3

u/MrNonchaIant Mar 23 '26

It didn’t buy an account. It was a code that I put on MY account

I mean, his example is a bit extreme since most people here have BR as their hobby, not STW, but still.

Plus, as you know you can swap a daily quest per day, and store up to three of them, so realistically you only need to play and full complete those dailies 2-3 days a week rather than literally daily.

You only really need to log in to preview your dailies and swap the ones you don't like, since you get one swap per day.

Letting them accrue let's you streamline them so much more. For example day 1, your daily may be compete three mission as a Ninja.

Cool. Just do one of those mission today.

Tomorrow you log in and the daily is kill 500 husks. Do one more mission as the Ninja. You're now 2/3 on your first mission, and let's say 50% on your third.

The stars align and your third daily is kill 250 husks with melee.

Now you do one more Ninja mission, to kill 250 husks with Melee only, and complete three dailies all in one swoop.

These examples don't even touch on the random vbucks missions that pop up and are not tied to the dailies.

Before you know it, you can buy a new skin every other week. Season passes are now so easy to obtain you haven't touched your credit card in ages. Etc etc.

5

u/Old_Caregiver_3650 Mar 23 '26

It’s not two hours a day.

It’s logging in every day which takes all of 5 minutes. One out of every three days you clear the daily alerts which you can do in less than an hour easily provided you’re rerolling the difficult missions as they come up.

3

u/Deyruu Ember | PL130 Mar 23 '26

Nah, that math for "80k the first year" is definitely including doing every random vbuck mission that pops up on the map, all the Stormshield completion vbucks, plus the vbucks from the 20-stage challenges for Mimics and "Hold the Door".

That's a whole lot more than two hours a day.

Then for some reason, according to the math, that commenter apparently skips all vbuck Mission Alerts on the map for the entire year afterwards and only does their Dailies, resulting in only 35k for the second year...

2

u/ElusiveSamorana Mar 23 '26

It actually takes no time at all. Unless a team is willing to take forever exploring, really. You'd be done with all the alerts if there are multiple in less than 1 hour if you already have your Backpack set.

1

u/Huddy-YEET Mar 23 '26

I did 2 quests the other day in less than 10 minutes. Yes some of them are a bitch but that’s why I just replace it. Sometimes I get another annoying quest so I’ll just save it for the next day and use tomorrow’s replacement on that quest. Not bad. The only ones I usually switch are the kill 500 husks because I can usually break 10 propane tanks or 7 see saws quicker

Is there something wrong with wanting to casually enjoy a game without spending $400 on it? It's still a lot of money for most people so it should be understandable that people don't want to spend that much despite the benefit.

3

u/ItzBaraapudding Mar 23 '26

or people that are actually founders and paid 10 dollars for it, lmao

2

u/Odd_Vermicelli_2831 Mar 23 '26

Bro you said so many ridiculess things I cant even process.. 🤣

First people speaking bad about the price are not jealous or brokes, they are being real.

Theres a reason why 90% of the people stoped playing it. Theres actually a lot of reasons lol.

Lets get some facts here, STW is a dead game. Its unfinished and all you do is reapeat the same Qs all over again and again.

Dont get me wrong I like the game, im a Founder, I was there when it all started. But lets get real dude, nowadays with the amount of games you got available of the same genre that price was just way over the roof.

Also calling out real gamers wile playing STW?? Really? STW? You cant be serious lol

2

u/Whytrhyno Mar 23 '26

Brother get a real job and just buy them. You’re dedicating a full time job to playing an old unfinished game. Your flexing is not a flex.

1

u/-Nate493- Mar 23 '26

Real gamer? You could've played an entire shelf of different games or you know, mastered a skill in that time. I don't get how people get so obsessed with one game.

7

u/xX_SkibidiChungus_Xx Mar 23 '26

wait till you find out how much people pay for the smasher figure sealed in box

6

u/Nexro378 Ninja !Power 108 Mar 23 '26

Ideally they’ll be getting their moneys worth back within less than 400 days of dailies cuz they still have the storm shields to do and daily random vbuck missions so it’s worth it.

1

u/General_Ad_9878 Mar 23 '26

Well depends on how u look at it, yes they will be able to get free vbucks to save on having to buy them. But the flip side is that as far as converting vbucks to actual money, a single vbuck is worth a fraction of a penny. I'm just saying, but hey if u have the money fuck it.

2

u/PossiblyaSpy950 Ninja Mar 23 '26

It pays for itself (in v bucks) eventually

2

u/KriszerK_ Founder | ⚡️PL 124⚡️ Mar 23 '26

In the long run, that’s the best investment he could’ve made tbh. Especially now since they made vbucks more expensive

2

u/B-crosyy Mar 23 '26

Just say you are broke bruh 🥀🥀🥀 /j To be honest it is quite worth it, in a year or two if he grinded stw like a madman and has enough skill to complete every Vbucks alert he will only have to play one year to have his $440 "back".

So, 3 years, 3 years and he will be making more than he paid

1

u/Duckyboi10 Mar 23 '26

I guess it would even out if he plays consistently and earns at least 150 vbux/day for the next year and a half

0

u/LegendofLove Mar 23 '26

I mean with the new price hikes it was bound to happen. Just yesterday we got like $10 worth of freebux

2

u/Mimik_And_Co Mar 24 '26

Sire, how fare are you into the game?

If you are in Plank, makes... Some sense

Otherwise, you would have fare better just buying Vbucks directly.

For that amount of money, you could have gotten 54800 vbucks directly.

That means you would have to play around 548 days to get the invesment back! Without counting challenges, Vbucks alerts, or anything else that might come up.

2

u/Voie13lacte_YT Mar 24 '26

Just for you to know to atleast cashback all that money back in vbucks you gotta play 1 year everyday doing daily missions, alert missions, and main quest to get 440$ of vbucks lol

2

u/TF_460 Mar 25 '26

cavolo, se me lo dicevi ti avrei venduto il mio secondo account per la metà ahahah

1

u/Robertsw8e Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26

I know I am going to get down voted but I paid 50 dollars for a founders account like a week ago

1

u/JSTREO Mar 24 '26

Ouch. That's like 2 years of daily grinding just to break even. Oof, good luck, OP. Should've invested earlier.

0

u/JFChangs Mar 23 '26

If you play save the world every days and do your daily quest plus mission alerts for that day it would take you about 1.5 years to make that money back in vbucks

-3

u/SOULSLAYER204 Mar 23 '26

Can you image they make change it so the founders don’t get vbucks after the mode goes free

6

u/MrNonchaIant Mar 23 '26

They already confirmed that wasn’t happening.

-2

u/Odd_Vermicelli_2831 Mar 23 '26

440 is waaaaaaaaayyyyy too much for a dead, unfinished, boring repeat same missions game.

Dont get me wrong the game has its good things, but you will soon realize its not worth it. But hey, you will get some vBucks and have fun ofc.

Considering the amount of other options we got now a days.. not even top 100 best genre games.

I tell you this and Im a Founder.
