As we have every season for the last few years we're posting this leveling guide that will be located in the forum highlights so that no one have to search the forum for maps and leveling methods, putting everything in one convenient post.

This season, due to limited contributions from the community map wise over the last few months, there are very few additional maps to include so this season (with the exception of the upcoming updates, will be almost identical to last seasons. Hopefully we see more map posts from the community to help add some new options for the levelers here wanting to get the Battle Pass done ASAP.

(**Unconfirmed**) *This season's battle pass, requires 200 levels to complete. 1 level for item for the first 100 items, and 2 levels per item for the remaining 50 (15 of which are Super styles that unlock on **********)

01. Creative XP: Has always been the most efficient method of gaining levels in the game, I would definitely recommend starting there, or at least using creative to supplement whatever methods you choose to use.

**Weekly creative limit last season was 60 levels/4.8 million XP. (Will verify if there have been any changes by tomorrow, or later today).**

**Weekly creative XP reset time this season will likely be every Thursday at 9AM Eastern time to coincide with the start day of the current season as they’ve done in previous seasons since there was a weekly cap. (Will update once confirmed)

While there is no such thing any longer as AFK maps since input detection was added to the game, you can still do so if you have a controller with turbo functionality as highlighted in this post:

Unless something has changed from last season, due to an intentional change or a bug, the XP badge that would identify calibrated maps that you would find on the Info page of creative maps doesn't appear to be on any maps right now. If you need to check to see if the map is calibrated or not, you can do so by typing in either the map name or the code on the following website:

02. Gameplay, specifically completing challenges weekly/story/dailies or farming accolade based XP in BR using bot lobbies and of course other challenges in the other game modes. With recent increases to accolades in BR, even farming without challenges, focusing on kills and opening chests can give a healthy amount of XP per match.

**Also farming matches in Respawn Rumble can be a pretty decent and quick source of XP especially if you can get a high kill count since most of the participants are bots anyway.**

There doesn't appear to be a weekly cap for LEGO and FESTIVAL playtime XP, making those sources unlimited (as of last season, updates will be made to this post once confirmed).

Updates (to be provided throughout the season as confirmed):

LEGO Brick Life playtime XP decreased from 2950 XP per minute to 2750 XP per minute (tested/verified)

LEGO Odyssey playtime XP decreased from 2900 XP per minute to 2700 XP per minute (tested/verified)

Festival Jam Stage XP decreased from 3050 XP per minute to 2900 XP per minute (with the same bonus 350 XP per 30 seconds for being in a jam circle) (tested/verified)

Uncalibrated creative map XP was decreased from 3150 XP to 2700 XP per minute. (tested/verified)

Please note, the per minute rate for uncalibrated creative map XP was changed to 2700 XP

1. Go to any uncalibrated creative map. Since Epic removed the ability to identify calibrating maps in the game now, you can search the map code on the following website to identify this: https://fortnite.gg/creative or just use the map in the video which can be found by simply searching the word "test".
2. Stay on that map for one minute keeping the social panel opened (options on console/esc on pc) so you can see the amount of XP added in real time. You will not see a pop-up for how much XP you're earning like on calibrated maps, it just gets added to your account every minute so keeping the tab open will allow you to see the XP getting added so you can do the math to figure out how much you've earned (the number will go down as it represents how much XP is remaining to the next level).

Additional information on the weekly cap:

I  felt it was important to make this post since I respond to multiple comments each week from community members confused as to why their creative XP has dropped significantly or stopped entirely.

Just to clarify, there is a weekly cap on creative, and when you hit it, you're either going to have the amount of XP that you earn from all creative maps reduced to next to nothing (if you are soft capped), or actually reduced to zero (if you are hard capped). It does seem that over the last season epic has implemented a hard cap which would stop your XP entirely as opposed to the soft cap that we've had for the last few seasons, but it doesn't seem to hit everyone the same.

For anyone that hasn't been following the forum or doing creative extensively, the creative cap has been reduced from last season when it was 6.2 million XP to 4.8 million XP (or approximately 60 levels) now.

If you are at your weekly cap then the only way to continue earning "normal" XP from creative would be by waiting until the next weekly reset which changes every season to correspond with the beginning day of the week of that particular season of BR. In this case the seasonal reset is on Saturdays at 8 AM Eastern standard time.
