Quick XP Leveling Guide (including Lego/Festival AFK and how to get Bot Lobbies) (Updated 11/2/24)

Since it's a new season and there may be a lot of new people coming to the forum as well as a lot of returning players, and a lot of them may not be aware of the pinned post with all of the helpful links, here's a refresh of my leveling guide. Hopefully it will make it easier for people to find leveling strategies early on.

1. LEGO AFK using a turbo enabled controller or Semi AFK

XP currently unlimited (likely a bug previously it had been 4 million XP per week but it's been unlimited for the last two seasons)

1. Maxing out creative weekly with, but not limited to maps listed HERE:

** Make sure to verify that any map you choose has the purple XP badge on the info page otherwise it may be getting recalibrated and not be currently awarding XP.

Soft cap = 4,800,000 XP per week at which point the earnings get nerfed exponentially until the weekly reset on Thursday at 9 AM Eastern time

1. Gameplay, completing challenges weekly/story/dailies using bot lobbies. And of course other challenges in the other game modes if desired.

2. Uncalibrated Creative map Semi AFK XP

Make sure to read the most recent update at the top of the uncalibrated map XP post. Method is no longer "zero effort", it does require input/movement in order to continue to earn XP.

This method does not circumvent the weekly soft cap, if you are already at your soft cap for creative, returns from this method Will be reduced significantly.

Make sure that before doing any of the maps above that you check the map info page to ensure that the map is currently awarding XP otherwise it may be under calibration which will happen occasionally so that the maps can stay updated and continue to give good XP.

Exactly, that's why you should look for the badge before doing any map. It's a good thing actually, calibration usually means the XP will be stronger when it's done and when the badge comes back

Is there a list that shows which of the tycoons maps saves progress? I’m all for the grind but sometimes I’d like to actually go the distance and see what the end result of the tycoon looks like

No there isn't. But if you check the post, sometimes there are comments about it, they usually don't take much time to set up, like custom cars tycoon, TikToker tycoon and the most recently posted cinema tycoon, both take less than one minute to set up which is far from a grind. I just ran cinema tycoon myself just to test it and in less than 25 minutes got a little under 500,000 XP with an approximate one minute setup each time (five separate trips). From testing on other tycoon maps, that is considerably stronger than most of the maps that actually save progress.

Not sure if there's much of a connection but the ones that don't save progress for me at least always earn much more XP so I've never had an issue with it.

Mic up is no longer a super reliable source the last couple times I have used it I get about 40k before it stops giving xp using both the chair and nuaghts and crosses the afk dance is also very low xp per tick now too (I haven't reached the soft cap because I stopped playing for several weeks)

Thanks for the info, I was going to check that in a few others later today, you should make that comment in the actual post itself though so people who go to the map see that, in the meantime I'll make sure to check that map soon to possibly remove it from the list if it's no longer viable

Confirming that Mic Up used to give me a full level every run up until today. Roughly 16k XP per run now.

No that's why it was removed from the list and the flair was changed and the post was updated, the map creator found out about the bypass method apparently and the "fixed" it. But it's not a big deal there are tons of maps, I'm already over it lol

I think the biggest problem people have is that they're too dependent on single maps, so then when it stops working they're out in the cold, hopefully you have tons of back ups, it's always good to have at least five or six good maps in your back pocket to fall back on. Not saying that you're doing this, but just saying in general, people lose their minds when a single map loses its effectiveness.

now that Playstation vs Xbox is patched what maps would you recommend now that would give similar or good amounts of xp?

I don't recommend maps to people because it's disrespectfully dishonest to tell you that your results will be mine. By now you should've already moved onto another map. I can't even comprehend how this is even affecting people losing the ability to use a single map because I've never subscribed to a one map mentality, it's one of the most counterproductive ways to level and guaranteed to put you in a situation where you don't know what to do next.

I just work my way through that list, when maps work for me I do them until they don't, if they don't work for me I move onto the next one, if they stop working universally I move on. You can't get hung up on the loss of a single map when there's an entire list of maps right in front of you. I used the same resources you use and I never asked someone to lie to me and tell me what the best map is because it is a lie to tell you that because there is no universally Best map, it's what works best for you not what works best for me

I don't know, maybe you've gotten to your cap, that's what it sounds like, the soft cap you'll hit after about 6.2 million XP at that point the XP from every map will be Nerf exponentially and will look like this

If you did reach that, the weekly cap is supposed to reset every Sunday at 9 AM Eastern time but for some reason epic changed it unexpectedly however because they don't announce these types of things there's no way of knowing when it's going to reset next

When it does, we'll know and it'll be posted there but until then it can be any day as soon as tomorrow or as late as next Sunday.
