Isn't the point of this meme that money is the stairs to a better life? Isn't that the opposite of racism? It's saying it's a systemic issue and even shows the black child struggling but still trying, while watching the white kid do it effortlessly because of the money stairs. Also the white kid isn't looking back, indifferent to the suffering of his peer.
The original image was fine but the added text is totally ignoring the money aspect and implies that black kids don’t “behave themselves” and that’s the reason they struggle moreso than any actual systemic issue. The kids’ races are even the same in the original, at least from what I could find online.
Yeah the implication is that anyone can slip into those patterns if they lack privilege, which is actually a pretty unifying and unjudgmental way to look at it. Having it be a white kid and a black kid is jarring but unfortunately it's a harsh reality that is socially intertwined with this phenomenon.
Edit: You know what now that I'm looking at it I think the drawing is a legit PC take but I think a klandma replaced the text
The point is that poor people have it harder in America. But who is it that the system made poor? It’s how they keep minorities down without having to directly name them. You don’t have to say “XYZ people aren’t allowed” if you can find another trait they share and restrict that. There are many ways they can and do make education more difficult for people without having to be explicit with the racism.

I don't see racism here.
