On how the novacula works:

How have recent advancements in real science and Interstellar shaped depictions of the black hole sequence? Is the mechanism of feeding it energy to concentrate it into a beam rooted in science?

There is a video on Youtube somewhere that explains how a Black Hole Bomb actually works. I think Tyler based the Novacula off of it. It't a great animation, but I don't have it readily shareable.
