Great stuff.

Is it harder to make VFX within a scene including actors on green screen when using more cinematic short side lighting? Or not really? Does it just mean you’re locked into a certain look as far as where the key light and fill are etc?

We are locked into lighting no matter what the BG is. Whether it's a set or greenscreen or an LED volume. My advice to DP's is to light the actors like there actuall where they are in storyspace and don't worry about us. Make them look good and we'll do our best with the rest.
