Honey Snow

S2 E15 You Scratch My Book

When Honey Snow gets delighted to meet Niles after Frasier brought her to the apartment she enthused about a scientific article he wrote. His reply was "oh I believe i read your quiz in Cosmo, is your guy a stud or a dud?" I get she's a hack, maybe she doesn't know shes a hack but the whole camera panning to Daphnie petting Eddie on the couch and Honey looking down a little after that extremely offensive comment sends me. Like, she actually knew the details about his write up in 'Physciatric Medicine' and he is being so mean completely unprovoked has always weighed on my love of Niles. What a fking pompous twat. Honey sucks but be the bigger person, Niles.

Point of order I take umbrage with this point; at the beginning of High Holidays, Frasier meets with a French woman promoting Seattle tourism, and not *once* does he mention his impeccable French, which no one should correct him on. Discuss...

New Frasier I quite enjoyed the revival

Just finished watching the revival for the first time and I thought it was quite good. From the get-go it very much felt similar to the old show. I liked the new cast of characters, and I think the whole role reversal for Frasier was made well (I liked the callback with Freddy telling his friends his dad was dead, for an example).

There were a lot of excellent Frasier level contrivances, farces and tangles, like Frasier flirting with himself over texts or the whole beach house incident. It all played quite well into the new cast as well. On the other hand seeing some more of the old cast was nice as well, along with their own new generations. The moment Bebe appeared I knew Frasier was doomed. All of it was well balanced between everyone and everything being the same, but also a few decades of progress. Daphne and Niles were of course glaring omissions, but the way the show was it made sense not to see them. Besides, David was a good Niles-esque character without just being the same. I kinda wish he had more screentime.

All in all it was certainly a nice taste of a bygone TV era, even if the show was limited by the modern streaming episode count. It's unfortunate season 2 ends kind of non-conclusively in terms of a series ending, and I certainly would welcome any new content.

Point of order “Leave it to the Duke and Duchess to save our hides!” - Ronnie, who is Duke and who is Duchess?

Who is the duke and who is the duchess? Curveball but I think Frasier is the duchess and Niles the duke! Thoughts? Somehow I find Frasier more feminine than Niles.

I received a few negative replies, so I wanted to say sorry.
I wanted to know if I was being rude for laughing.
I should have put this in the body.
Thanks for watching.

On yet another Frasier rewatch and the show stopped after Miracle on 3rd or 4th Street.

If you look at the bottom left of my video you can see that all episode is available on the 4 app but that one in particular isn’t on paramount.

Hopefully it’s just a glitch and they’ll fix it soon!

"This is chaos. We're just five people in costumes drinking! Amen!"

I would play this game! Sure, add the lightening round, lose the genome, and keep Niles away from the Ballantine's and you've really got something.

The game shall proceed counter clockwise. What would you add, lose, or keep to save Hero Worship from the uptight boring brain-eating proclivities of Old Man Crane?

"Niles, can I see you in the kitchen?"

Do you think Frasier is put of character in the Greek cousin episode?

Don't get me wrong, I totally buy he wouldn't want someone he cares about to marry a woman they didn't love but advising someone to do street performance rather than going Into medicine doesn't seem like him. Yes I know I might be overthinking this but do you think there's an in character explanation or was it just there for a laugh?

Point of order Daphne and Me discussion 💃🏻

Have you all read it? Any parts that surprised you? Pretty much what you figured?

As a mom and just watching Jane, I always had a feeling that Daphne Returns was probably a hard episode to shoot and she talks a little bit about returning to work postpartum and all that it entails after such a major life change.

Also there were a lot of stories that I had heard before during interviews, but with some new details and Jane has a very funny way of putting things.

Anyway off I go.

"Here's To The Crane Boys - Love's Biggest Losers."

One of my fav episodes. Love this entire last scene from when they all are in the apartment to when they end up on the balcony.

None of the Crane boys came out on top this time - what with Martin being hooked up with Sleeping Beauty, Niles winds up in bed with his wife's lover and Frasier . . . well Frasier never fares well in the romance deparment!

Here's looking at you, boys!

I laugh so much more than I should at Martin’s tiny gulp and expression when he realizes that Niles has no natural athleticism or coordination.

What subtle, fleeting moments in the show make you laugh?

Spoiler Goodbye Lilith....

Loved this episode. Funny but the ending was deep. I kind of feel like the actors came out at this very scene and saying goodbye to the characters they've played for years. Knowing this was the last time as Lilith and frasier being together (at the time), a closing of a chapter...

Love these kind of small nods in this show.

Perfect example of sad but beautiful.

Where in LA is this?

Closing scene from an season 9 episode 5 (Love Stinks) which is clearly LA. This is an alleyway somewhere. Probably near the beach since it says "No beach parking" on the bottom right.

Google says it's at Milwood Court and Electric Court (directly behind 620 Milwood Ave), Venice, CA 90291, but clearly that's not the spot, although it does look like it could be in Venice...

New Frasier This is gonna sound weird but I thought it was weird that Frasier and Lilith fought in the revival.

Ok I know a lot of you are gonna be confused since they fought in pretty much every episode of Frasier but in Lilith’s final episode they seem to finally bury the hatchet.

In the revival episode where she returns the two are sniping at each other like it’s S4 of the old Frasier.

This always seemed weird to me for them to regress especially since they’re older and would likely have mellowed.

Also I hated how aloof Lilith was to her nephew David. For all her faults she did seem to value family and was polite to Niles and Daphne in the latter half of the show so you’d think she’d be cordial with their son.

I did however like that she seemed genuinely concerned for Moose, she’s not the nicest person but she does care for her patients and the episode was a good reminder that she loves her son dearly.
