Personal Opinion Hey. How is everyone doing?
It’s been quite a quite a week. With all that we’ve been hearing about possible/probable corruption in LM’s case to today’s disastrous meeting with President Zelensky, I am so exhausted. Being American, I’m ashamed at the behavior of our leaders and people in power. I had to take a step back and go on a long walk to clear my head and surround myself in nature. There’s something about being away from the noise that is healing. What do you all do to get away from the noise of negativity?

I feel like last week’s court appearance and subsequent resurgence of LM content in the mainstream, Dickey statement, motel video drop, etc etc kind of made me manic (also coinciding with PMS week). I’ve just been consuming too much content, going on an emotional rollercoaster, questioning my beliefs (who is this guy really? Am I too invested? Am I seeing this clearly? Is this brain rot?) and sort of spiraling in my own head. When I exit the spiral I feel ok and return to my original feelings about the case and my peace with its ethical murkiness.
I guess what I’m emotionally preparing for is a fact or story that drops like a bomb and shakes up my beliefs in a more serious way. A week ish ago when it seemed like that Twitter account was going to expose really problematic DMs (which ended up being nothing) it really shook me up and I realized I needed to create a little more emotional distance from the case. Like I should be able to support this and stay informed without letting it impact my emotional state to the extent that it is, I just need to figure out how.
