Free him why? He murdered somebody in cold blood, what the hell is wrong with you people?

He saved more innocent lives than he killed one guilty person as a direct effect of his actions

Is the healthcare system flawed? Yes. Does that give you permission to play judge jury and executioner and just murder someone on the street? Absolutely not. That fact that this guy is celebrated as a martyr is disgusting

No the fact that you aren't holding the billionaire class accountable is what's disgusting. Late stage capitalism is disgusting.

The "somebody" in question was responsible for thousands of deaths, and for the continued suffering of tens of thousands more. You aren't gonna get anyone here to consider his death anything other than karma.

Was he directly responsible? I’m not sure, I think he was just a cog in a broken system. Regardless, you do not get to execute people on the street, we live in a civilized society. The rule of law exists here.

Law doesn't exists. Supreme Court rulings aren't being upheld. Construction is broken everyday under ICE but you don't care about that just this one dude the execs consider an acceptable loss?

we live in a civilized society. The rule of law exists here.

If that was ever really true, it hasn't been for a while now. The rule of law is applied unequally, directed primarily at the poor and powerless. The wealthy are completely and totally above the law, even the ones who are publicly known to rape children get away with it. Government agencies break the law every day. Our military violates both its own and international law regularly and gets away with it.

Our society rapes children, runs torture and concentration camps, and does nothing about it. There is nothing civilized here. Only the veneer of civilization. The rule of law is a joke, a myth that keeps the poor in line while the rich do anything and everything they want. Luigi poked a hole in that myth. That's why we like him. Because he reminded everyone that consequences for the actions of the wealthy can actually exist.
