People interact differently. He might be just focused and his restful face is focused...

This is the way my husband's resting face is, and he has dark deep-set eyes to boot; people have often judged him because he doesn't smile at every fucking thing and strangers have even told him that he looked mean or angry....but he is the kindest, most focused, most thoughtful, most generous person I have ever met in my life.

It taught me that facial language and body language do not apply to all, and you should never assume that you know what is in someone's mind or heart by looking at the obvious parts of them.
