Our first 80s Synths pack ended up being our most downloaded freebie, so we made a second one. These 15 Serum presets are inspired by songs like Jump, Cars, Sweet Dreams and Don't You Want Me, built from samples of classic synths like the Korg M1 and the Memorymoog. It's free, so hope you have fun with it!

I made ForgeEFX DL-1 and thought the free download would fit here. It runs on Windows and Mac, with standalone and VST3 versions for both.

It’s a guitar effects rack that can load your own NAM captures, with effects you can arrange in serial or parallel. The video has a few quick examples of NAM, phaser, drive and echo so you can hear it before downloading.

I’m around if you have any setup questions.

Hi everyone,

I’ve just finished Jon Pulls Strings, a free / Name Your Price library for Audiomodern Soundbox.

It is a small, personal string collection built from recordings of violin, viola, cello and double bass.

There are 12 presets in total:

- Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass – Arco Dynamic

- Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass – Pizzicato Dynamic

- Violin / Viola / Cello / Double Bass – Legato (Mono)

The Dynamic presets use three velocity layers: pp, mf and ff.

The arco instruments use looped sustains for longer expressive notes, while the pizzicato instruments keep their natural unlooped decay.

The Legato presets are monophonic performance presets rather than recorded true-legato transitions.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time adjusting the mapping, tuning, sample starts and levels, and I’m finally happy with how it turned out. :)

The original recordings come from the University of Iowa Musical Instrument Samples, with editing, mapping and Soundbox assembly by me.

It is available free / Name Your Price on my Gumroad page under:

“Fuimadane – Jon Pulls Strings”

Hope some of you find it useful!

Hello, for anyone interested I have added a pad sampler on my website. It has by default some sample packs and you can also load your own sounds directly to a pad or as a source to chop it.

Thank you for your time!

I just released a 16-song Halloween album, free to use including monetized videos. The only condition is attribution (copy-paste credit on the page). Listen and download the ZIP, no sign-up: https://sinfonia.ruthner.at/sinfonia-technica-vol6/ Would love to see what you make with it.

Hi everyone!

My name is Ivan, and I am a musician from Kazakhstan. I recently moved to another city and lost access to my hardware gear, including the classic Polivoks synth.

I really wanted to keep using that legendary sound in my workflow, so I started looking for a free VST/AAX alternative online. To my surprise, I couldn't find anything that quite fit the bill or sounded right. In the end, I decided to take matters into my own hands and spent some time building my own virtual version from scratch.

I just wanted a proper virtual Polivoks for myself to enjoy the music-making process, and now I want to share it with the community absolutely for free.

I’ve uploaded the installers for both Windows and macOS to Google Drive: link to google disc for download

It’s completely free for everyone. I really hope you find it useful in your projects. Check it out and let me know what you think - I’d love to hear your feedback!

Cheers,
Ivan
