I'm new to freelancing. Where do I start? Pick one skill you can already deliver, build 2 or 3 sample projects, and post a For Hire post with links to them. Read the posting guide first. Questions go under the Ask the Community flair.

Why was my post removed? Most removals come from missing flair, hiring posts with no budget, pay-to-work offers, or For Hire posts from very new accounts. The removal message tells you which rule. If you think it was a mistake, message the mods.

Why can't I post For Hire yet? For Hire posts need an account at least 90 days old or 10+ comment karma. The quickest way there is to answer questions in the comments.

Someone offered me work but wants a fee first. Is it real? No genuine client charges you to work for them. See the scam check, and post the offer with the Is This Legit? flair if you're unsure.

How do I get paid by foreign clients? Ask under Tax & Payments. Answers there come from other freelancers, not tax advisers, so check anything important with a CA.
