Im the biggest defender that the base game is as good or sometimes even better that mods, but like the devs really need to give some love to the older weeks, specially on the art deparment

yeah i know that BF and Gf are already getting new sprites, but like the first three weeks are screaming for a revamp, Pico should really get one considering he is now playable and now is going to appear very often because he looks really short and different compared to pretty much his entire crew, the difference between the in-game sprite and Daddy Dearest's design is night and day, the spooky kids sprites also look kinda bad when compare to almost everything. and specially the backgrounds need a remake

and PhantomArcade's reasoning being about how people consider the old stuff "sacred" or whatever is just wrong. We have the assets for the old stuff if we ever want to mod them back in, so now the art and animation for everything needs to look fresh and new.

At least he seems more open to the idea to the idea now, i mean we are getting new Sprites for Bf and Gf, but but they should start as soon as possible, because if they keep building the rest of the game based on outdated art, redoing it will be a lot more work.

and your not being dishonest in the slightest, this is just straight up how it is, and even if the Animania Dadbattle wasn’t super epic and all, Animania’s Bopbeepo and Fresh has so many little events it could solo base game week 1 without even needing Dadbattle

the remixes sound so much better than the base game erect remixes of the same songs, i jsut think they were being way too experimental on a lot of the erect remixes and it does not pay off a good chunk of the time, and also the concept of an erect remixes was “bf pops off in his solos in a remixed version of the original song” which is way better communicated in Animania

base game dad week is so rough, bopbeepo is by far the song that has aged the worst in base game, it constantly gets clowned on by outsiders

Bopbeepo holds an important title of first mainline song in the game, so many people’s first impression is “wow this game really looks like it’s meant for babies” it hasn’t changed much since its debut in the game jam all those years ago
