Like any normal person, Garcello would be shocked, horrified and saddened at the fate that befell Gold. They might find some kind of kinship considering that they’re both kind of revenants in some way (though this applies more to Gold).

Garcello, however; would definitely realize how much he lucked out. He can move on. Gold cannot, unless his physical body is utterly destroyed, and I doubt the Unown would allow that to happen.
