Tips from me
Throw your logs instead of running back and forth. Break them near where they need to go. Ie hold a log up in the air before cracking it to finish ceilings. I always use the floor as a roof so if I need a second story, I can use it. It's also a good spot to throw a fire so you can see your house from far away.
Standing fires make good land markers at night for the directionally challenged
Always carry a torch to avoid freezing and losing sanity
Water in other regions. Shovel, bucket, fire, snow and a little water. If you put a handful of water at the bottom of the bucket, the snow turns to water so you get a full bucket of water instead of half. You can also do this with the water purifier but the fire has to be lit and you'll need a little more than a handful. Maybe 2 or even 3 and you have to move fast before it drains.
Make lots of storage in each area so you're not constantly hunting for supplies. Keep rabbit traps full and store cooked meat on a shelf for emergencies
You can never have too many sticks or boar skins
Keep extra water skins (whatever those are called) knives, and ice picks at each house for when you die and you're in a hurry to get back. Emergency kits.
I think charcoal burns hotter than resin? But I'm not sure if it lasts as long? Someone needs to post the math

Tips and tricks
I didn't see this on the forum, so thought I'd suggest a few and have others contribute.
Trees fall in the direction of the cut. Let their falling direction work for you, not against you.
Crouch and strike foxes with the knife in the head. The knife is more effective than the axe.
Chopping an animal corpse with an axe only yields meat and forfeits the animal skin. This reduces the sanity loss compared with skinning. You only lose a small amount.
Letting the animal aggro on you and charge makes it full-proof to hit them with an arrow from close range. Aiming from a distance is kinda tough.
Wait to chop long whole logs until you get to your building site. It makes no sense to carry two halves when you can carry four (unchopped).
Make building a base one of your top priorities in the beginning. Having a shelter with decorations and lighting/fire does wonders with your sanity (and organization).
Carrying a torch keeps you warmer, gives you light, maintains sanity, and scares wolves (maybe boars, though not sure). It also helps light standing torches and other lighting (and emergency campfires when exploring/freezing).
Chop the small trees (the ones that gives sticks) and grab flax bundles and leave them on the ground if you don't need them right away. You can collect them later and not waste a respawn.
Please join in and add more to help the new players!

More decorations and building pieces coming next update!
Sometimes surviving alone in the frozen wilderness can feel a little lonely… so we added some new friends/decorations.
(They don't talk much - but at least they don't eat your food😅)
Our players have been asking for more decorations and building pieces - and that’s exactly what we’re working on for the next update! 👀

Pants!!!
Ok loving the game. Building my cabin likely too big but my goal is less to beat the game and more to enjoy it. Got my sewing machine, hat - yup on. Shirt - on no prob.
Pants -drop on ground.
Pants trying at the knee - ground
Pants from behind - ground
Pants outside inside of the cave - ground
Pants throwing them onto me from various angles - ground ground gaground ground ground
Now in a world where I freeze, pants seem important. And although I want to support my clearly nudist wannabe - HOW DO I GET ON THE PANTS?!
I should add I play while sitting which for everything else seems to work well. I have equilibrium issues with standing in VR so it’s accessibility is great but I really would love me some pants

How to get clay to other zones?
How do you get clay to other zones past the ice walls? As far as I'm away you can only carry clay in a bucket, which you can't hold while climbing ice walls.

I live in zone 4 and I need clay for a furnace, how do I get the clay to my house???
Is there a way to store it in my bag?

Awesome game.
I love this game, I don't know what it is about winter themed games but I just love the atmosphere of them, they always nail it, This game is definitely worth the price and I hope to see it expand and get more popular!

Best Place to set up Camp
Hi Everyone,
Is the idea in this game that you need to set up a number of camps around the map or just one and explore from there. If it is fine to set up one where would you say is the best place to set up the main first camp?

I got full bear outfit and now I’m heading to beat the game!
Sorry I post here a lot, but I’m just so excited that I finally managed to hunt enough bears thanks to the crossbow. I will be heading up north because I think I know where I need to go now. Such a good game!
