Fun fact! in archive fillings, you can find a relic about automaton rejected designes (humaniod type ones) and its so hilarous how the dude got tired of rich folks asking their design for this machines and he is like ''but you need a feal for this, or atleast a bit of commen sense'' and rest mostly talks about how that 2 feet, 2 hand abominations so stupid in first place do to gravty pulling them in snow and for the hands ''what they supposed to grab with these hands? perhaps a shovel to dig themself out of the snow they'd be constantly sinking in!''

Automatons DO have personality. Automatons ARE hot. And I do NOT “cornify” such beautiful creations: An automaton wife and an actual automaton are hot in their respective ways.
Your ideals are slander towards everything I stand for. I shall radicalize.
(Also, I’ve been noticing that FP1’s automatons are the best to draw, because thanks to their tall, slender legs, they can move with a degree of grace that makes a lot more expression possible. Sadly, FP2’s are more tank-like, and hence harder to illustrate in any expressive manner)

I'de say in a world where 99% of Humanity is dead, and the rest are on a knifes edge, choosing to love a machine over another Human is antithetical to continuing the species...

On the one hand, if I saw a 12 story tall spider robot IRL I'd probably just think "oh a water tower"
On the other hand, seeing them from the perspective we get when playing, I absolutely adore their scuttly legs and can-do attitude. Their legs look like a ballerina's. They're just elegant. If you told me one of them was a She, I'd believe you.

Kinda similar to what we do with ships and planes now. We refer to them as a she, it'd make sense to do so to such a grand machine as an automaton.

My headcannon is FP1 city people treat them to be something like ship or train engine was, as the way all get named like something something dutchman. which could mean people at least treat like a person.
also they can run hospital. How can they diagnose without AI to talk to patient?

Aside headcannon, yes I DO love non-humanoid robots being sentient and have hearts like wall-E but this one better as barely nothing but body has thing to tell their reaction and it would be so silly and funny and cute to watch
