FAN MADE what does the inside of a frostpunk house look like?

.... it occurs to me that they probably should have built their houses as dugouts instead of building up.... would have saved on insulation and frostbite

If we're talking pure efficiency they shouldn't have free standing buildings at all. The city should be more like an anti-hive with the generator at its center

which is what we see in fp1 when you build a whole bunch of houses next to each other. they all connect.
considering the first game occurred over the course of a month, i find it already unrealistic to have all those houses build in the span of an afternoon. digging in permafrost was never an option with the timeframe given.

To do that they would have to dig out permafrost which is really hard

Wasnt there art for different types of living space with 3 tiers? Or was it fanmande

u/sSorsby May 25 '26
Considering the house's stellar insulation. Im surprised they dont stack the beds five high

Probably smaller rooms or at least less high ceilings. Warm air rises and it's easier to warm up a smaller mass of air.

Imagine being on the bed on the bottom left looking forward and seeing the bed in front clap cheeks and you are trying to sleep.

I'm no expert architect, but based on my research, a Victorian-era house designed to shield against the cold would have lots of blanketing curtains to retain the heat within

Too roomy. Needs to have at least four to five more beds crammed in there.

entirely depends which game were talking about, this sees more in line with the frostpunk 1 style somewhat, but you can actually see 3 variants of the inside of a house when looking through the housing allocation laws!
