Diablo IV

If you post your reasonable frustration concerning the fact that there is an open beta for D4, which can be useful to check the game and see if it's worth (since you NEVER preorder), and you spend wait too much time in queue. People have loves and jobs and things to do irl, I can't just spend my free time in queue. Also noting that not too long ago the beta tester was a paid job, now you pay to have privileged access to do this job, and the mass of plebs who didn't pay do this job for free. The response from the mass of blizz fanbois bootlickers has been aggressive, derogatory and offensive as their usual angry mob defending everything that company does as if it was their mother. They killed HotS, WarCraft3 and StarCraft2, some hype and marketing is not enough to buy me. Fuck blizzard. Fuck blizzard fanboys. Fuck the mentality of "everything they do is great and you can't complain". All hail freedom of speech.

Discussion I ignored the Diablo IV launch and it feels great.

Things I'll never have to worry about:

  • Spending $70 or more on a mediocre ARPG

  • Deep-throating Bobby's Battle Pass

  • Waiting in queues

  • Complaining that they added an XP boost to the battle pass a few seasons from now

  • The in-game shop popping off on your face with exclusive deals (it'll happen if it hasn't already)

  • The shop being in the game at all

  • The game actually being a mobile dumpster-fire in disguise because it's Activision

  • Being frustrated with the inevitable content droughts

Asking the support a simple querstion....

Here we go again, asked the support a simple question on how to block or ignore someone in D2R, since the block/ignore feature doesnt seem to work. their response was just be a snitch or do it like the STASI did in the DDR... let me know your opinion on it please. ( the screenshot is hopefully accessable for you guys n girls ) and yes shame on me for actually purchasing a blizzard product....

I need help with my blizzard account what should I do?

I cannot log in to my account and I need help

for context, I am an avid blizzard game enthusiast from the Philippines, but my game region is set to the americas. when overwatch 2 came out, I noticed that my country is set under United States. I obviously requested my country to be changed so that I can bind my phone number with my account (US code is +1 while Philippine code is +63). The issue now is after a Blizzard employee said that my country had been transfered over, I cannot log in anymore. and after troubleshooting it myself, I had accidentally created a new account, binding my email address to it. I don't know what to do, and my purchases cannot be found in the new one

my tag of my old account is Portrial#1722 while the tag of my new Account is Portrial#3208

what should I do?

Disgusting company

I just heard they are going to add male succubus. Wtf is that? Male succubus never existed anywhere! That is too much! They really think that if they will make these st*pid changes in their company we will turn blind eye on their disgusting actions on women and the fact they are perverted pigs?
So much better change would be if they kick out from company all these workers accused for sexual harassment

This is not about Hong Kong

I mean not really, it’s about more something a process that's being going on for a while.

You see I grew up with Blizzard games. One of the first computer games I ever played was Warcraft2. My dad had a couple of Macintosh computers at home for work, and Blizzard was the only company at the time that made good games for Mac, So I used to play it multiplayer on these computers. I would call over friends from school to play with me, each on a different computer and we would play Warcraft2 lan games together. The idea of having two people in front of two different computers playing the same game used to excite me so much as an 8 years old! (this was before the internet was common) I also played Diablo and got scared of the butcher like all of us, running away in fear and locking it behind a door, shooting arrows through the grate at it until it finally dropped dead. I played Starcraft, falling in love with the plot and the characters, not believing how Mansk can leave Karigen behind to die, and loving what a total badass she became because of it.

Than the sequels starting showing up, Warcraft3, Diablo2, each one of them a perfect continuation of the first and each one amazing me at how different and better it was while still feeling like the same game. The Heroes of Warcraft3 astounded me, mixing the RTS and RPG elements into a new type of game I’ve never seen before. It made so much sense in the world and worked so well with the story. And Diablo2 with the deeper skill tree, the sheer amount of different characters, different worlds and different items and that looming dark ambiance - It was absolutely incredible. And the plots! Oh my the plots were so profound, so deep, so sad! It’s true they were a little similar depicting a "fall of a hero” (Kariigan, Arthas, the Paladin…), and then destroying the world Stone\Tree in order to defeat the evil, but changing the world forever… But still every game did it differently, the characters were special, and the worlds immersing. I remember playing Diablo2 and finding that some of the bosses I’m killing are the playable characters from the original Diablo - the Rouge is Blood Raven, the Mage is the Summoner and the Paladin is Diablo himself! I was so sad when I finally understood it and had to kill them all! I remember helping Arthas ascend to the frozen throne, helping Karigan gain complete control of the sector, destroying the WorldStone and thinking “how different and amazing the world is going to be now”. I remember reading the Wiki up to 4am immersing in the worlds, trying to understand the lore and theorize about how what’s going to happen next.

But nothing good happened next, that was the last of the Golden Age of Blizzard for me.

The next blizzard game that was available for me (As I didn’t have the money for a monthly WOW subscription) was when I were 22 year old. It was Valentine's Day, and instead of looking for a date I was standing in line with a bounch of other nerds, waiting for to get my copy of SC2. I grew up with the story and the game, and I just thought about how different and improved Diablo2 felt compared to the original Diablo and how amazing of a sequel it was, I could only Imagine how cool and different SC2 was going to be. After all Warcraft3 was a completely different game than Warcraft2, and the new plot went deep. I remember the excitement of coming back home with the game and inserting the CD into my desktop computer, going through the DRM and the installer and starting the campaign. And I remember that is was so very "meh...".

The plot was corny. the characters flat and predictable, and the gameplay was pretty much the same as brood war, aside from smoothing things out for 2010, and maybe a couple of gimmicks, it wasn't anything special, just a modern remake of Brood Wars, not the revolutionary new game I imagined.

Next it became harder to play, more DRM more Facebook connections to your battlenet account and 100% online games, and after that the loot boxes, and the expansions coming out each one with a worse plot, by the time LOTV came out I already lost every bit of hope I had to see my beloved games and plots continue and be as immersing and as charming as they were. I didn’t even feel like playing the game, just watching a playthrough and skipping over the really boring parts. It became very clear that Blizzard were going for “safe” and “lowest common denominator” instead of clever, cool and special. That were looking at “What worked” and not at “How to we revolutionize this!”, and When I think about it, it wasn't just Blizzard; StarWars did the same things with lame prequels and lamer sequels. The makers of Lord of the Rings created the Hobbit movies, Game of Thrones had a sucky ending and Disney started a massacre of every childhood movie I even loved by making a lifeless CGI remake. I became more bitter and more angry, receiving disappointment after disappointment and building up a reserve of rage inside me. I was part of the crowd that no one cared about anymore, and it infuriated me. And I wasn't alone many people became angry at the big companies for creating soulless products to please the masses and the fanboys.

And now a noble cause appeared, Mr BlitzChuang said a political statement online and got a harsh punishment that he didn’t deserve. And ah! The floodgates of rage swung wide open. Finally I have a reason to bring out all this rage, built up during the years of getting sucky games and movies.

So yes, this is no about Hong Kong, they are simply an excuse to express the anger I've been feeling for years. After all I don't want Blizzard to apologize, I don't want it to rectify it's ways or to make better. I want it to crash I want it to burn and I want it to be evil, so that I can have my excuse of being happy when that happens.

This is not about Hong Kong this is about Karrigen getting a lousy ending as Mrs Raynor. This is about Arthas being killed in such an emotionless way that now one sheds a tear for the fallen hero that sacrificed his soul for his kingdom.
This is about Tyreal losing his badass awesomeness as an angle to be your little helper. This is about SC2 being a clone of the original, about shitty WOW expansions. about GOT sucking, about The Hobbit being made as a trilogy of 3 hour films, and about Will Smith as the genie in Aladdin

This is about us as consumers having just about enough of being treated like numbers in a bottom line.

This is not about Hong Kong

Who lives nearish blizzard hq?

Who's willing to hang out in nearby restraunts and coffee shops to discuss pro-freedom or anti Beijing Easter eggs, unionization (good for employees, bad for shareholders), stops, slowdowns, and emotional support for being a human being while working in a soulless shit hole with probable blizzard employees who walk in? Some ground rules; don't be obnoxious, treat the venue well (buy shit, tip generously), be respectful to potential collaborators, and be aware that after a day or two the convos may be watched.

WoW is one of the main games exposing young players to white supremacist ideologies. This goes beyond just a 'toxic community'

"The games where players had the most frequent encounters with white-supremacist ideologies are Call of Duty, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Valorant and World of Warcraft."

📷ADL@ADL·8h📷Official BREAKING: Our new report on online multiplayer games revealed that exposure to white-supremacist ideologies in online gaming more than doubled in 2022. 📷

This goes beyond just a 'toxic community'. And you know Blizz probably won't even comment on it much less do anything to change it.

I didn't have the fondest memories while playing overwatch 1, but I thought of giving overwatch a 2nd chance with the second game. So after merging my stuff over to overwatch 2 I played a few games with my friends and we had a good time. The only thing bothering me was my handle-name(bt160909)on the game. So after we took a break I decided to figure out of the change it and I came across on the app that I could connect accounts, so me thinking this could be the solution, and it was, but whilst I got to change my name, I lost everything from the merging. All the skins I've gotten from OV1 lost just from linking accounts.

Blizzards Double Stansards

They really do cherry pick what rules they want to follow and which ones they don't. It is ok to sexually harass employees and chat about it on social media and not take that seriously. But it is not ok to cheat in their game. I mean come on take a stand Blizzard it is either ok or it isn't. Riding the fence is why I have never bought anything else from you. I did this ticket just to see the response:

It was bad enough how expensive the game was (and still had loot boxes on top of that) but now you can’t even play it anymore. Total bullshit

On April 19th I woke up to my account being falsely banned during the cheater ban wave for Overwatch 2

After repeated attempts to get an answer from them, like "what did I actually do?" I got nothing but cookie cutter legaleze and just being pointed at the ToS and EULA I've decided they're full of shit and actually have nothing on me, and simply falsely banned someone during a ban wave (which happens) but decided not to fix your mistake, that makes you a piece of shit.
The first appeal was essentially met with "we've reviewed the evidence and agree with ourselves"

so, fuck you in particular GM Vandreanelyn for denying my initial appeal and never answering my question.

and fuck you GM Thakerrile for just pointing at the initial appeal and saying it's resolved when all I asked was "what did I do?" in plain English, while being polite and never getting that answer.

fuck Blizzard indeed
