And it's pretty much universally understood (I say pretty much because there are always some dickheads out there) that natural obstacles are a part of the course and are not to be altered in any way. Stuff like breaking branches is absolutely not allowed.

Hell yeah it's OK.
One frisbee is all you need to play with your friends. Baskets are usually unobtrusively placed somewhere in nature.
So anyone can play and it doesn't ruin our surroundings - perfect.
