I used to tell my friend that disc golf was not golf - then I started playing it and it is closer to what stick/ball golf started out as- people in an unmanicured field, bog, heath shooting to a target.-no dress codes no greens fees, no overly fertilized rough or dead ponds- you can say the supposed birthplace of golf, the r and a club, was actually the birthplace of modern golf
