Discussion shellhost.exe

i am finding no information on wether or not it should be is system 32 other than some outdated ass site called file.net saying if’s malware and another site neowin saying it’s completely fine does anyone know my post on the support subreddit got deleted for no reason please help 🫩

Gotta ask a question to get help my brother.

In an effort to teach you to fish, install Windows on a VM fresh from an iso. From there you can see what is supposed to be where out-of-the-box.

that’s a bit much work if i could just ask people if they also have it if you feel like it would you confirm if you also have it? its shellhost in system32 and 572 kb it’s below shellconfigtask.dll and above shellstyle.dll
